a lot of the kids do that, mainly because in the other classes the teacher catches on really quickly and gets them to work. i feel so sorry for that teacher omg. the class usually gets nothing done because some kids always come in late, my friend hates the class so much :'( i think I'll just stick to learning online tho

You should go commission them, it's cheap 2-3 dollars but donations go to a animal shelter and they draw pieces to help get those animals a home(so you can't pick, you can decide on whether you want a cat or dog but the shelter animal they're going to showcase with you is up to them to help promote that animal in getting a home). You can also donate more if you want too! I got showcase with a older cat and I honestly want to adopt him.

i draw tiny little things on the margins of my notes just to remember what the notes mean lmao, i barely understand half of the notes i take. the school does have art classes, but my friend tells me that the teacher gets nothing done because the class is very disruptive and she can't control them so :/ maybe one day
