Only original 8 fighters allowed (the roster you see when you open the game)
Single elimination
Battlefield, Final Destination, or any Omega stages
No items
3 stock, 5 min time limit
Best of 3 matches, loser picks next stage
Tournament starts on release date. Play your matches as soon as you're able to!

That's fine!

I think in past tourneys here, there was a small entry fee instead so nobody would feel that way, but I guess Trundle decided against that.

In Smash Wii U tournaments, the host would usually supply the bulk of the prize pot. I think in one instance, Jav contributed about 3500 TBT Bells and only 2-3 would donate above that. Donations are completely optional as the winnings are just a cherry on top of the fun we'll all have playing Smash Bros together.

I now see it starts on release date.... so my partner I will not be home until saturday late, so first available time will be sunday... AKA you have enough time to practice and crush me

Just let me know your Switch FC at your earliest convenience... And yeah the tournament won't be super rushed. With shipping delays and whatnot the first round will have a suitable amount of time provided to play your matches.

Also thanks Temptations for the 15 TBT Bell donation. The pot is now at 1300 TBT Bells!
