Hi Everyone! So I've just updated my DA, and it's not finished yet, but I wanted to get some feedback both on what I have almost finished already as well as on the parts that are a little more empty that I'm kinda stuck on! I really would love to get feedback on parts you enjoyed (I'd love screenshots if you felt so inclined but they're not necessary ofc) and then some opinions on what i should do with the emptier parts of my town that you'll run into

Notes:
-i have design squares checkering the town for plot resetting
-the area to the left of Kiki's house where there's tulips and empty space, a Windmill & tulip field is to go there
-the area right below Re-Tail I have blocked out where the statue fountain will go
-Above the flower arch I'm going to put the light up arch.
-the face standees are entirely original and drawn by me!
-there's really no set "theme" i'm going for in my town. I was on a long hiatus and last played wayyy before the WA update, so this is kinda just a town filled with things i like in a hopefully semi-cohesive way
-yolko's house hasn't even been started on (completely empty inside), and the exterior isn't finished other than the roof and exterior wall color
-megg's house is a WIP, but the main room, upstairs, and left room are finished! the back room and right room and basements are WIPs
-the beaches aren't done at all, they're just a place for me to breed flowers rn lol
-hoping to have the end product set during the cherry blossom festival
-Flora and Sly will be moving out, with Genji and Chow to replace them

PWPs I want help thinking about where and if to place them:
-Hot spring
-hammock and/or outdoor chair
-bell
-log bench with firepit
-bus stop
-instrument shelter

I'm giving 10 (had a little more tbt than i thought so i'm doing 10 instead of 5) tbt to the first 3 people to post, or if only one person posts or something i'll give you all 30 lol :')

I'm not comfortable posting the DA on here yet, since it's not a finished town and don't want everyone to be able to see it yet, so if you agree to help me i'll PM it to you :D

PS: You don't have to cover all the things I mentioned super in depth if you agree to help me out or anything! I'd be grateful for really any amount of feedback at all! Just talk about whatever you feel like! Thank you so much in advance to anyone who agrees to check it out <3

- I would put the bus stop near the empty space around town hall
- Hot spring area to the right of the plaza
- Bell towards the bottom left of the pond near re-tail!
- log bench and fire pit to the right of the plaza as well

my favorite parts of your town !

Ahhh tysm for writing a post about my town <3
I like the ideas for the PWPs!! I'm gonna check them out and try blocking them out on the ground :)
And the pic of the jiji face standee with kiki kills me hehe
Thank you again! :D

Initial Thoughts & Things
- I love how we get the glow wands & head bopper things, it's really cute!
- I like how your paths are set and how the flowers lead directly to your homes. (Going into homes later)
- I love the alternating flower paths tbh (Its something I've seen but never attempted; it looks so cute though!)
- The face cut-out standee designs are incredible! ;o;
- I also really like the idea of having present scattered around the town (Ik it's a thing people do but it's sort of a treasure hunt amidst the eggs, if that makes sense)
- I like your idea of placing the light up//illuminating arch behind the flower one – I feel it'll really compliment the houses behind it!
- Your town seems to have an elegant, pastel pink "theme" (In air-quotes because I didn't know what to call it other than theme even though it's not strictly that) and I think having the whole thing set during the cherry blossom season would be wonderful & cute!

The Map
- I love the map layout and where your buildings are laid out!
- I like that the permanent buildings are all in the upper half, while the bottom is entirely animals
- I thought, when walking through, it was a shift from elegant//modern-ish on the top (before the bridges) to a magical foresty-cottage/nature type of thing (again sorry, I know you're not set on a specific theme :3)

PWPs and Such
- I really like the placement and ideas for PWPs
- I think the statue fountain near retail really adds to the (maybe unintentional and sorry if I'm offending you) elegant feel//vibe I'm getting from your town :3.
- I love the idea of having a windmill with tulips surrounding the area :D (i'm so bad at giving criticism sometimes)
- I agree with what was said earlier about the bus shelter placement :3 maybe close to the path to the right?
- I think it'd be cool to have the fire pit//log bench thing below the plaza, close to the lake as it gives a camping sort of feel? (Idk :3)
– – – – – – – – –
The Homes
- I really like how Megg's rooms are decorated (the pastel ink theme that carries throughout the house)
- Great lamp in Yolko's house (;

I'm done rambling about your town, it was wonderful to visit and run through. It was cozy and cute and I love how it's looking and can't wait to see when it's complete! Thanks so much for letting me view it! ^-^

EDIT: Yikes sorry for super in-depth stuff (after you said it wasn't required) and sorry for rambling -w-

Ahhh thank you so much for such an in-depth review! I loved reading it!!
Which paths did you mean by the alternating flower paths btw, just wondering? :) Like the tile/clover paths or the paths kinda lined with flowers? And I see what you mean with the themes! I'd probably agree tbh! I somehow unintentionally have like an elegant type of theme starting at the top in some areas and more foresty theme at the bottom hehe maybe with the addition of the bus stop and firepit area at the top it'll blend together more? hopefully it's not too in-cohesive! and no worries about mentioning the themey vibes you got, i'm not against themed towns or even my town being seen as a theme, I just didn't specify one because I didn't go about designing the town with one in particular in mind so i wasn't sure if it'd classify as anything lool

Also I really like the idea of the bus stop there and I think that's where i'm going to end up putting it, thank you! :D

Thanks for the pics and comments it really means a lot!

and hehe yolko's house is my pride and soul of the whole town (;

I'm super glad you enjoyed exploring though! Sometimes when you're playing in/seeing your own town every single day, you tend to lose the effect of it in your head? If that makes sense? So it's nice to have had fresh eyes go through it!

- With the flower paths I meant mixing two different breeds, etc. I also liked the scattered clovers :3
- I do also like the paths you've chosen and placed throughout the town
"maybe with the addition of the bus stop and fire pit area at the top it'll blend together more"
- I agree with this! I think the bus stop & fire pit area in the upper half will create a nice transition between the two themes that aren't themes :3
- Yolko's house is definitely a thing of beauty
- Yes! There have been so many times in the past where I've been stuck, with no idea as to where I should place a PWP that makes sense and then someone else sees it and goes 'uhhhh right there?' and it's such a great spot ;w;
- I'm excited to see what it looks like in the end! ^-^ (and thanks again)

Ohhh gotcha that makes sense!
Hehe yeah i feel like the bus stop location was probably such an obvious one bc when you put the screenshot i was like wait duh??
I'm excited to share when it's all finished!! thanks again for your input :D

PWPs
There’s a large area to place pwps next to the plaza on the right, and I think this would be good placement for the hot springs. The long bench and fire pit could go on the left of the train station in that area and the bus stop along the path to the right of the town hall. The hammock or outdoor chair could be place close by to the lighthouse, overlooking the beach. I’m not entirely sure about placement of the instrument shelter but there is a nice space for pwps south-west of the plaza as well.
I also think the statue fountain would look lovely by retail and that the windmill and tulip field is a good idea.

Town
I like your tiling and clover combination around your villagers houses but your single paths also tie in well with it. I like the dirt path along the way to your house as well. Megg’s House is decorated nicely with a pastel-y theme. I also agree with what was said above that although your town doesn’t have a specified theme it feels like a magical forest.
I really like the area with the face standees! These are really cool designs! I also really like the placement of your police station and cafe. The white flowers look really lovely with the path as well!

Hopefully I’ve been helpful (sorry I’m a little late!) and your town has a really nice feel to it! I look forward to seeing it When it’s finished!
