theme: a small, flower filled, cozy town with zen, tranquil, sleepy vibes. i want the atmosphere to feel similar to how Fruits Basket has been making me feel. I binged all of the new seasons these past few weeks and it made me feel happy and cozy.
the journal: i really wanna post pictures and backstories of residents and happenings on pillow because reading through everyone elses, it makes the island come to life. i really want to be able to share my island like that. so i'll be posting general island things like weather, turnip prices, hybrids i bred for the day, as well as who's in the campsite (I have most of my permanent villagers but I have a lot of amiibo cards, so I like to scan people in just to see and talk to them), resident interactions, and general island progress!

coco is my top villager that's been with me since Wild World days, she was my first villager in New Leaf, and I scanned her in the first time I could into New Horizons after a friend gave me her card as a gift. She's the only villager i've ever put by my house. She loves reading, especially with tea. She's always talking about books, asking me what I like to read and what she should read, etc., and she's a big fan of all the flowers all over Pillow. She's closest to Nan and Kiki, who also enjoy reading around the island!

kiki enjoys reading with tea just as much as coco does, so I've set up a reading/tea area by her house as well as coco's. Her island best friend is zucker. Their houses are next to each other and they visit each other all the time! I like to think kiki always prepares little tea sandwiches every time zucker comes over. kiki has also been with me since new leaf!

zucker is the resident lazy, foodie, and sleepyhead. you can find him snoozing pretty much everywhere, from his own house, outside his house on the beach, or even in the flowers. his favorite foods are cakes and sandwiches and seafood (that isn't octopus seodxlkjs). despite being lazy he likes to fish, and he has a little fishing area by his house with a fish drying rack as well!

chevre loves meditating and relaxing in the nature of the island. her favorite is the hot spring under her house and the bamboo doll that makes her really happy every time she interacts with it. her best friend is nan, who lives right next door of course. canonically, nan and chevre are based off of a japanese children's song about a black goat and white goat who are in a loop of writing each other letters, eating the letters, and then sending a letter back asking what the previous letter said. this fun fact makes me so happy so i knew i couldn't pick only one of them. they're a package deal on pillow now!

non-island update but last night i also had the pleasure to commission user staticistic1114 and i decided to get something done of coco, just because she's been my best in game friend for the longest time, through all of my animal crossing play. i'm going to have this picture in coco's photo album on my main panel and its also my pfp of course dsoihlkjsd but i just wanted to share it here as well

-spent a lot of time today just going around talking to my residents and gathering some cute screenshots
-chief is officially out of boxes today!! so i paid him a visit! he was crafting a scarecrow! his interior is the whole reason why i believe he's definitely an art student. He also mentioned how today is the perfect day to do laundry, and that made me happy because I actually also really love nice laundry days.

-i also gave some residents some new clothes!! i love how in new horizons residents cycle through clothing you give them. i love adding to their wardrobe and seeing them wear different things all the time! this sweater i gave coco reminds me of the default shirt she wore in new leaf with the color palette, so i had to give it to her

before I write my daily entry about happenings on pillow, I visited Sherb, one of my original move-ins in the tutorial, on my sister's island. I miss him a lot but it makes me happy that he's living it up on my sister's island, where he's become best friends with Papi!! I wanted to share some wholesome screenshots of Sherb remembering me and just being Sherb like I remember. It made me sad because I miss him but also happy at the same time

-this is going to be a long entry, there were a lot of happenings on pillow today, but this entry is particularly exciting for me!!! so i hope someone tunes in anyway :'^)

-today is a bittersweet day on pillow... I have had wade's amiibo card ordered since march 29, but due to covid-19 his card has been stuck indefinitely in osaka with no ETA. so i decided it was time to move someone out naturally and get him from someone. i don't like to TT at all, but I TTed today until the first person essentially pinged me to move out. It was coco, which was a cruel trick from the game LOL but ultimately I have her amiibo card and TTing causes me a lot of anxiety, so I let it happen and went to pick up Wade. Here are pictures of me meeting him for the first time!! And of him being on my island!

I will be kicking out my grumpy alien conspiracy theory fishing boy, Octavian, to get coco back in. I'm sad to see him go because i really love him a lot, but ultimately I'm going to be happy to have more variety of animal species on my island, especially with having two goats im not willing to change up, and it's been a long time coming for Wade to move onto my island. I'm so happy. I hate that I have to reset my friendship with coco, but it won't take long to get our friendship back up, and I like to see it as Coco having went on a little vacation!!

-Coco's vacation is over now and she'll be moving back into Pillow tonight to conclude my small spurt of time traveling

- i got a 5 star island rating today!!! on accident!! i had completely given up tbh bc i like to keep so many weeds, but it turns out you can get 5 stars with honestly plenty of weeds. Like all of my pathing is checkered with them. Pretty excited for this accomplishment, and I even found my very first jacob's ladder! yay!!!

ahhhh im so happy he's so ROUND and adorable!! currently working on decorating outside his home, excited to post results soon! <3 your journal made me realize how badly i wanted him so i just bit the bullet, did some TTing, and moved him in from someone's island and it was totally worth it. I'll definitely miss Octavian though, I got super attached to him. I was just kinda ready for for some variety in species and I have zucker as well who is my 1st fav octopus

to end for the night, i finished decorating outside Wade's house and I'm quite happy with it! I feel like despite him being a lazy he has a really fun and playful energy that I really wanted to bring out in decorating around his house, and I also wanted to make it work well with the trade area you can kind of see up to the left

And also had some fun times hanging with friends and getting some shooting stars at a friend's island! fingers crossed for a taurus fragment or two!
