Here's my art project from my first year in college (Perspective Drawing Class -- maybe NSFW?? or NSF anyone below 18 years old...? I won't put it in a spoiler lol)

Gouache on cold-pressed canvas 30'' x 40''

I think the drawing itself took maybe 2-3 weeks (coming up with the idea - which is gnarly I won't post what the painting is depicting lol) and I think 1 day to transfer the sketch to the canvas, and maybe 24-30ish hours straight with no sleep painting with gouache, I wanted to paint it with watercolor but my teacher didn't accept that as one of the mediums so it was either gouache, acrylic or tempura paint I think haha I've worked with acrylic a lot but I was stupid and bought gouache for this project T_T my teacher said it was the most creative and difficult because I had two different points of perspective (one coming from her mouth and one coming from the base of the "waterfall") I was thinking of selling my painting because it's been a drag to lug around (I've moved like 2 times with it already) anyways... lol I'm rambling

Another note on gouache: I didn't do my research about it -_- it is a huge pain to work with, I used a sea sponge in some areas and the gouache dries relatively quick and has a (in my opinion) disgustingly dehydrated feel too it, it's not smooth at all. Another negative (for me) is that it dries flat, so there isn't much variety in it's "elevation"

I don't always use traditional watercolor sometimes I use watercolor pencils which is wayyyy easier to control haha
