24 hairstyles only?

Does anyone else find it a little odd that they only have 24 hairstyles in this game? Compared to New Leaf that had 32? I'm kinda hoping that there is still 32 hairstyles and that they didn't downgrade it to 24. Maybe they are still not showing all hairstyles? What do you guys think?

i think they still havent shown all. we havent been shown close to everything in the game, its more assumptive to say theyve shown them all than the other way around id say

I agree, I don't think they've shown everything just yet, I'm sure there's a lot more to the game we'll find out about as we play and if they continue to release more content in the future c:

Some hairstyles are unlockable using Nook Miles and we haven't seen them all yet ☆

Not all hairstyles have been shown yet and I think we'll unlock a lot more than 32 through progress, NM, Shampoodle, Gracie, Label and Able Sisters. I could be wrong about a couple but since they're about fashion, why not help us with some hairstyles too rather than just wigs right? Hehe (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎)

Additionally to what the others said, I think that Nintendo will add new hairstyles through free DLC every now and then!

Just checked. 12 male, 12 female. Definitely not 32, and since a gender only gets their own hairstyle, that kinda makes 12.

I think they should stop making wigs, and use the PC wigs as actual styles.

I don't know why they have to be wigs and not just player's hair.

because many of them clip through existing hats/cannot interact properly with other headgear, or include a hat/hair accessory themselves. i was going to say the same but i see the reason for wigs. it gives the possibility for more complicated hairstyles not normally compatible with the layered clothing

New Leaf Had 16 styles for each gender. And it was possible to get a hairstyle from the opposite gender options, after visiting Shampoodle a certain number of times.

That's what I always used, but I haven't seen it yet, unless it's just unrecognizable now.

Even if there does end up being less, we still have such a great variety of hairstyles to pick from. They definitely tried to make the hairstyles more unique this time around. And as many have already mentioned, there could be additional hairstyles you can unlock later on that we've not yet seen, as well as free DLC updates.

The bun (female hair, second to the bottom) has always been my go-to in Animal Crossing, but so far we haven't seen it. There's a new bun in the game, I just personally don't care for it. Hopefully both of our favorite styles do turn out to be in the game!

"THERE WILL BE REGULAR SEASONAL UPDATES AND DLC"

I'd imagine that hairstyle will be apart of that new content. It would be the perfect way for Nintendo to add more customization and entice more players to take the plunge into the AC world.
