24 hairstyles only?

when you think about it, it doesn't make much sense for there to only be 24 hairstyles right? after all we've seen that each little card that unlocks hairstyles gives you a total of 8 (4 feminine and 4 masculine). why would nintendo introduce hairstyles like that so that we could only ever buy 3 hairstyle packs? there has to be more than 3 packs and a lot of those packs probably include hairstyles that used to be wigs in previous games which there were a lot of.
if the number of hairstyles was so low as 24 they would have just given them all to us off the bat. new horizons is all about giving the player choice and freedom. i think it's safe to assume that there are way more than have been shown already.

Something I'd like to add onto this: At PAX East, during the demo, the reps really did not want people playing the demo to explore the Nook Miles rewards list. Basically, there's more yet unknown with rewards with Nook Miles. High chance some of those is another set or two of hairstyles.

It's possible they haven't showed us all the hair styles yet. We know we can unlock styles with Miles, but we don't know how many. If you noticed, the ones unlocked at Nook's had a theme to them.

i dunno but what im wondering is will the bow wig be as popular as it was when new leaf came out?? everyone and their grandma was wearing that rats nest of a headpiece,,
They'll probably add new wigs that will be more popular than the bow wig. Hopefully.

i'm a little worried about the hair colors but i think we will get at least as many hairstyles as new leaf had.
yeah I was more concerned about the colours. maybe the special colours will be available another way? my hair in real life is green, so I'd love to make my character's hair green too

tbh i agree. i wish we?d get a color wheel or something that allowed more variety

I actually was a little more worried about the color as well. There didn't seem as many choices. The color i usually pick didn't appear to be there. As far as styles I am very excited about some of the new ones they showed on the videos I've watched.

Thanks everyone for commenting and for reassuring me that there will be more hairstyles to unlock! Hopefully everyone will be able to get the hairstyle they like. I'm hoping for the same myself and that the one I really like isn't gone and that it's still there in the new game.
I'm a little worried about this myself, but if I remember correctly, there was a few colors missing from the ones I've seen so far, so I bet there will be more, just like there will be more hairstyles too.

just like many others have said, they probably just haven't shown us all of them tbh.
i have a feeling there are way more that they want to keep a surprise. also, they could add new hairstyles in dlc or free updates if they wanted to.

I am, I am not totally disappointed yet. Because even though there are less hair styles so far, they seem a lot nicer then the ones in New Leaf so far. In New Leaf there was only a select few I liked. But in New Horizons, it looks like I may change my hair more often to have some fun with it.
However they probably just haven't shown all of them yet. They don`t want all spoilers out. You can get more with Nook Miles. And they may have updates or DLC that may have more DLC to. We will see. But so far, I am pleased with the hair styles I have seen.

I think it's because some wigs (like the geisha one) can't really have hats put on them, because it would have to be awkwardly placed or the wig is too large to fit another hat on top of it.
