Hello! I'm new to Animal Crossing and have been introduced to the concept of Amiibo Cards. I would like to purchase authentic cards rather than recreated ones. Other than the price, can anyone tell me how to spot the difference visually? Do they look different? Is there some identifying mark to know they are authentic?

Ohhhh I don't think you need to worry. Fake amiibo cards are pretty much advertised as such, it's not like they're super authentic looking cards. They're usually just coins, or homemade art, or laminated print outs, or other obvious fake things. The goal isn't to trick people, it's to make money off of people who don't care and just want the functionality. If it's sold as genuine amiibo and looks like it I'm sure it is ^^
