today in shangri-la - 4.23.20
today was such an exciting day. i probably played 8 hours of animal crossing today which is insane lol.
starting off with an ootd, because i needed to be all flower-ed out for earth day/lief’s arrival!

i visited another person’s town to buy some wallpaper from sahara. i really like this little sitting area with the shell seats!
how absolutely gorgeous is the sunset with my new nook’s cranny? i have an idea to rearrange my hybrids so it looks like a sunset... think that would be really beautiful. also bought a ton of hybrids from a seller on tbt!

the opening ceremony for nook’s cranny at late sunset is goooorgeous!

tried again to do the clapping wilbur ‘hack’.... but i got a bamboo island. was hoping for a hybrid of tarantula.
there wasn’t a meteor shower tonight but there were a few shooting stars.
i think it was the perfect end to a perfect day!

felt like [/changing up the outfit today, so this is what i’ve got.
norma was next up on the moving houses docket. only got a couple more now!
i let kk choose a random song and i got kk chorale. it was super late at night and i was literally the only one who listened for the concert lol.
i liked this little conversation with claudia, i thought it was cute and couldn’t agree more - my inner snooty emerging lol!
and a little progress shot of my maze area! i’m très excited with how it’s coming along, and you can see my castle on the hill in the background <3

this is definitely not a work outfit, but i think it is pretty adorable. this white beret was such a good buy, it goes with so many outfits!
i ended up going with this pink blazer look instead for the work outfit, thankfully labelle approved!
that being said, i got tired of the pink suspender look and opted for this streetwear inspired look instead:

more turnip sales bc i’m obsessed with making money.

my heart honestly dropped when claudia tried to tell me she wanted to move away.
i would be broken-hearted if she left!! i gave her that labelle coat she’s wearing :< thankfully we convinced her to stay!
curlos... is making it hard for me to not like him after these letters? he’s really stepping up lately...
i finally decided to use the leaning tower of pisa i got from gulliver. here’s a before shot:
and here’s the after shot, filled with red/white/yellow flowers! it’s a new style of decorating for me, for sure. but i really liked how it turned out.
using that new sigh react because i’m trying to move shrubs and claudia blocks my way every time :’)
i did find a lost object though (maybe my second one?) and it was melba’s!

i visited a really awesome cataloging service today to pick up cardboard boxes and spotlights, as well as the gnome collection for a freebie. it was so much fun!

i finally paid off my penultimate home loan! it wasn’t even because i wanted my basement, but i did need the storage, desperately. i’m a hoarder.
everyone’s calling me june bug now! i love it!

a rainy day outfit! tried to get out of my comfort zone and use the red rain jacket.
i really went into this day hoping to catch a coelacanth...
plus cj was on my island! win win to go fish hunting.
this game is so pretty, i can’t. also, i did not end up catching that damn fish and i used like 40+ bait. ugh.
i interrupt the fishing pics with tiffany having a lil staring contest with the doll i accidentally dropped off near my resident services.
i swear claudia and hazel have this conversation about bugs every day.
roscoe on the marimba and tiffany on the mic was just too cute! i love how roscoe changed into a rain coat and tiffany stays fab in her tuxedo dress.

bob rolled through town and i really, really like him. but i already have lolly and was trying not to dup on species. AND he’d be the third lazy on my island... (already have zucker and drago) - don’t think i want that many. but gosh, he is so much fun and SO cute.
this was such a sweet convo between roscoe and drago - and he always acts like he’s so tough in his biker jacket but he’s such a softie..

while we can’t all be shaved-ice managers, i love the point that dreams come in all shapes and sizes.
(i know roscoe secretly supports drago even though he acts like he doesn’t care.)
300 balloons! so glad i got this done today. pretty sure 1-100 was because of bunny day balloons lol.
these two brothers (a total headcanon) chilling by the water while i get some terraforming done.
both of them doing a double-take when audie walks by tho...
meanwhile roald’s charging up with a nap under the tree. adorable.
and there’s that golden slingshot recipe! woohoo! that’s 2 now.
here’s the terraforming progress around my resident services. definitely needs more trees but i think it’s fun and a huge upgrade from what it was before.

had a visitor (ty mrpolarbear of tbt!) over to help with the aforementioned wreaths and roald was cracking himself up with this one.
i didn’t see tiffany all day which was unusual. turns out poor baby was sick!
she sure knows how to be dramatic. guess you can take the girl out of show-biz, but you can’t take the show-biz out of the girl.
i did, of course, get her medicine. and she was surprisingly sweet! yeah, it took me being her errand girl, but still, who knew she had it in her?
well where have the past almost 2(!!) weeks gone? i just got really, really busy with work and wasn’t feeling inspired to post. hope i can get back on the wagon by sharing a photo from each day that i missed!
5.18 - got scammed for raymond, found raymond, and then did the museum stamp rally. honestly felt so emotionally drained that this probably kicked off my absence!
5.19 - raymond you sweet, expensive ass cat. wouldn’t trade you for anything.
5.20 - didn’t do much today. lolly giving me cozy vibe goals.
5.21 - seriously one of my favorite villager convos ever.. hazel trying to convince audie not to be stubborn and apologize to one of her wronged friends.
5.22 - colton’s birthday! i gave him an aires rocking chair that he said he loved, but has never displayed in his house since.
5.23 - fished all day in the rain. still no coelacanth.
5.24 - my girls were chilling on the plaza and singing ALL DAY.
5.25 - another day of rain and NO COELACANTH. at least hazel’s still upbeat.
5.26 - still no coelacanth.
5.27 - still no coelacanth but i am a CAST MASTER now!!
5.28 - damn raymond really went there.
5.29 - did a looot of storage clear out today thanks to nookazon. but always made time for dim sum with roscoe and drago!
5.30 - a packed concert tonight! (rip my eye) we listened to cafe k.k. and apparently lolly sang along.

drago left yesterday (4/23). to say that i'm crying like a ***** is an understatement, but he gave me his picture last week and told me he wanted to travel the world to try out yummy snacks... loved you drago and shangri-la will never forget you
