I have been time travelling since wild world. The benefits and cons from time travelling vary from person to person tbh. Personally I love farming flowers and fruit via time travel and jumping around just for fun, but the drawbacks of time travelling have been (for the most part) removed in NH. I would say if you want to time travel do it, just be aware that weeds will grow and it will forever sit in your conscious. It's cheating in the sense that you are bypassing the irl wait and possibly speed farming materials (bottles and daily things like mushrooms, weeds, etc,).

Some people like it, some people hate it. I say maybe give it a try and do small things and if it doesn't suit you set your switch back to internet time sync.

I don’t consider it cheating. I think it got that term due to a lack of a better one. Cheating would be hacking Mario Kart to get unlimited items on WiFi whether or not you do it to win or lose. I’ve done it a lot. I’d say time travel if you want. I wouldn’t let a few opinions deter you from what you want to do. Time traveling makes the game more fun for me, but others prefer not do it. Either opinion is fine, but we can all play Animal Crossing the way we want. It’s our life and our game.

i might be biased since i’ve time travelled quite a bit lol but i personally don’t think there’s anything wrong with it nor do i consider it to be cheating! waiting in real-time for buildings to be moved, inclines and bridges to be built/demolished, etc can be frustrating and even a tad bit boring so there’s no shame in wanting to speed the process up. thankfully, the only ‘repercussions’ that you have to worry about are cockroaches, bedhead, weeds and massive flower growth but since you only plan on time travelling one day/one day at a time, this likely isn’t something you’ll have to worry about. i say go for it but only if you want to or are comfortable doing so. no choice is a bad one.

I TT to keep my interest in the game going. Right now I’m in July because I hate Bunny Day and there’s nothing to do in Spring. In summer I run around shark fishing and netting great bugs (giraffe stag, golden stag etc). It gives me a few hours entertainment in my day most days

This. If anyone gives you a hard time about TTing, give them a fancy ol' block. You don't need those trying to shame you for it. It's not cheating.

I time travel all the time. It may seem like ‘cheating’, but keep in mind you can’t cheat in a game like animal crossing since it’s not competitive you should play however you want. Sometimes time travelling is more convenient like when I need to wait for something to complete, and I don’t do it just because I feel it’s better to actually wait the full amount, and sometimes I do time travel if I feel like it. Really, the good thing about ACNH is that it’s personal to you to do whatever you feel like doing!

Always loved the big discussion on TT.

So many people are against it. But why? If it's my game, I'll play it how I want, right? It doesn't effect other people, really. It's not as though its a game of COD online where cheating can ruin someones experience.

Play it how you want to play it, and don't let anyone say its wrong or right.

Personally I've TTd all throughout since it came out. I wanted to play, not do a bit then come back. Though at times where I did want to just chill and not achieve anything in particular, I'd just let it tick along day by day.

I used to time travel all the time, but then I got really careless with doing it, so now I only change the time, not necessarily the date. This way I can catch late night bugs and fish if I need to. I’ll only change the date if I need to, but I may time travel fully again one day, but for now I’m not. Also, like some other people have said, it is your game, so do whatever feels most comfortable to you.
