Nintendo will likely not reprint more. The demand was higher this time around because they released them during a time when NH had an update where the only meaningful content was behind the cards. Why they didn't expect more of a demand is a head scratcher, but this is Nintendo we are talking about and they never print enough of their stuff and scalpers capitalize on that.

If buying authentic is really important to you, you're looking to spend between $50 (low) to over $100 or more. I would look on Etsy and places like them for a reputable account selling fake cards that work just as good. We're not allowed to promote this by sharing links, but you can easily find them on those sites with a simple search. If you ask me, it's not worth the amount scalpers are asking for. They're just cards with limited functions. And we really shouldn't support scalpers or Nintendo's poor business decisions anyway.

I really doubt they will re-release again. As someone who managed to grab 2 packets for me and a relative, when they released in the UK. Even though they did a website pre-order, a few people had their orders cancelled due to them not having enough cards to furfill orders. So it was clear there was a limited release.

Unless stated above that you really want the official ones, then I would highly just recommend buying the custom NFC cards/coins people make. There’s nothing different between the two aside from one being ‘official’ and they’d be much cheaper. (Plus supporting a small business is nice.)

Otherwise you could try looking for the Japanese version of the cards (I’ve seen a few listings), if it being in another language doesn’t matter.
