The Meltdown Times

Greetings everyone! Meltdown is new island of mine, because poorly made decisions which made me sell my Switch 2 years ago and so I abandoned my launch island that day with my dearest friends in there. Now fixing my poorly made decisions with journey on this new island and hopefully I am going to meet my dearest friends once again.

Hello! My name is Eeda and I'm your reporter from Meltdown. I used to live on other island named Meltland and also I was a mayor very short time on town called Meltdown. Huh coincidence that there is two place called Meltdown? Anyhoo, I guess I'm still the mayor there because last time I visited there they still called me that.

I'm looking for new adventures here on Meltdown (the island one) and trying to make this livable place while looking for my old friends and hopefully making new friends also.

Greetings from Meltdown! Day zero was successful, I guess. I arrived to Meltdown with Dom and Shari. I helped them to find perfect spot for their tents, right next to the beach like mine.
Our native fruit is by the way cherry. I'm not big fan of them, but maybe I will learn to like them while I'm here.

Day one was more eventful. I did got my smartphone from Mr. Nook. Paid my tent and even got Blathers invited to the island. So I decided to get prepared and went to fishing.

Here is my catch from the last night!

I also build a snowman. I can't believe it became perfect on my first try! Usually I mess up with the head or something.

Day 2 on Meltdown was more peaceful. I donated all the fishes and insects from last night to Blathers and now we get our own museum here. Can't wait for the opening! Blathers indeedaroo was happy about it even the opening seems to nervous him.

Also Timmy and Tommy finally can expand their shop! I helped them with it and I almost wanted to give up with the 30 iron nuggets. I sure gonna miss Tommy patrolling on the island with his flag.

I also used first time Dodo Airlines after moving to the island. They do seem to take their jobs seriously.

We had our first exercise session together with the villagers. I really didn't knew the moves, but I had fun.

I chopped few trees to make more room for the bridge when the time is right.

Today's broadcast Mr. Nook announced that Timmy and Tommy opened their shop today! Which was good news! Shop is still small but better than being on residents service tent. It was kind of cramped.

In the middle of broadcast Mr. Nook got phone call and it made me wonder what news he got this time? I sure do hope the news are good!

He was talking about the getaway package and seemed to be pretty happy about it. Maybe we get new friends in here?

I went to the Nook's Cranny soon after the broadcast and I met new face in there. I overheard some of the conversation and she said something about wanting to help Timmy and Tommy. I hope to meet her again. She seemed very nice. I think her name was Mabel?

We also held ceremony for Nook's Cranny!

Today I also succeed to make perfect Snowboy!

I also did some traveling today and ended up to mystery island with this little guy! He was such a cutie and I decided to invite him to Meltdown. He seemed to be happy about it. Joey was his name. Of course he is not my friend I lost from my previous journey on other island, but maybe it's time to make new friends while looking for old ones?

I really didn't had luck with the wasps today.

Mr. Nook gave me fences today as a reward when I looked spot for our new residents and build them some interior and exterior furniture. So I decided to put those fences around resident service area.

I did help this little guy with his broken communicator. He promised to send me something as a reward via mail.

For the last I got this big guy while fishing! He is huge and ready to be donated to the Blathers. Hopefully tomorrow.

A lot of things did happened today, but there is so much to do on this island!

Todays broadcast was held by Mr. Nook. News was also so good (like they always seem to do) that finally our own museum was finished with construction work and that meant museum was opened. I finally was able to donate rest of my catches to the Blathers and the museum!
Second news was that Joey moved in and he was unpacking his boxes. I'm so glad we got him here.

We held opening ceremony for the museum. Even Joey was able to come there even he was busy with unboxing.
Blathers was so happy! It was also so heartwarming that he actually thanked me and said with my donations this was possible. I'm just so happy for him and can't wait to donate more fossils, bugs and fishes to the museum! Oh and the art!

I purchased this new sweater from Mabel. I just love black color so I'm happy that I don't have to wear that yellow shirt anymore.

I had to go and say hi to Joey even he was busy.

Stretching time!

I guess this was my biggest job today. Move all the flowers on the same area. Of course this isn't final spot for them, but I wanted them to be somewhere with easy to access.

And for the last aurora borealis! They were so beautiful to look at.

Good day! Day 5 on Meltdown and Melba moved in. Otherwise it was pretty chill day except for Melba who was busy with unpacking her stuff.

I went to say hi to her.

After visiting Melba, I went to see Joey and kept company for him while he was reading. His home looks so cozy.

Speaking about homes! I paid my home loan. It was happy moment until I decided to take new loan and now I'm getting one extra room for myself!

Eh this Redd was kind of weird calling us cousins. We just met! He asked me to come to his boat because he was selling art.

So I did bought this piece of art.

I did last minute selling and after finishing my sale Timmy and Tommy kicked me out from the shop literally! How they dare? I even helped them to build this shop for them. I miss spending time with them all night. Now I won't see them after 10pm.

So it was very peaceful day on Meltdown. I did a lot of fishing and tried earn some bells so I can pay my new loan. I heard rumors that Dom know how to build pretty valuable stuff and he could teach me how to do them. So now I just need to wait that moment when Dom is ready to share with me his secret.

Today on Meltdown we got two news on today's broadcast. Good ones first; Puddles moved in. So now all the houses I located are no longer empty.
Second news; Resident services finally moving to the permanent building, meaning that NookStop isn't available tomorrow and I will lose my daily streak. How am I going to survive from tomorrow?

Otherwise it was chill day. Feels like I don't have that much to do here anymore and my help is not needed anymore! I'm also so focused to pay my loans that I haven't figured out what I even should do here now.

I've got new bed from the mail. Finally a decent bed and hopefully better sleep.

I finally found the courage to go swim.

I met Pascal and yes I gave him that scallop. Luckily I found other so I was able to donate it to the museum.

Day seven on Meltdown! Resident Service wasn't available today on Meltdown and that was pretty much todays news.

Leif came to visit! It was nice to meet him. I bought a lot of pumpkin seeds from him and roses.

My pumpkin garden! I also tried new filter on this photo.

Also I have something new to report from day six.

I met this little guy and I helped him to get his spirit pieces back.


And I did went to see Puddles also!

Best thing about this day was that I took nap on my bed and I had a dream! It was the island I used to leave and I met my old friends in there.

I guess I'm gonna leave this my dream to the other update.

Oh Puddles and Joey. Your problem was adorable, but I guess I would lick a fish.

I went to visit Harvey to his island finally and he taught me how to arrange photoshoots. I'm sure going to try that later. Now it was just super late and I wanted to go finish my designs and watch aurora borealis.

I like this barcode robe I created. I also did hoodie but I didn't had proper pants to match with.
