When me and one of my old friends, I'll refer to her as Em, were about seven or eight we were both avid fans of wild world.

When our DS' had ran out of battery after a long session as my house playing the game, we'd go up to my room and get the DS and PlayStation cases off of the shelf and spread them out on the floor. These were villager houses.

Once we'd put them to satisfactory sizes, we'd proceed to fill them up with Playmobil furniture, saying what we wanted to reserve so that if the other found it we'd have to give it to the one of us who'd reserved it.

After filling up the houses with some furniture, we would take turns in picking animals to be villagers. I remember her favourite would be Chevre the goat :)

From there on we'd play for hours on end, moving villagers in and out and building up our houses.

When we went in Middle School, we slowly started to drift apart. By year seven, we'd totally lost touch with each other, but me and Em would sometimes walk home with each other. She found a new group of friends, that group of girls who were always on the verge of being popular, but not totally.

From there on we were in different regions of the school; she was in B and I was in A. She was second set, I was top set.

I bet she doesn't even think about playing Wild World anymore. People change.

Thanks for reading.

aw what a nice story
i used to play cf with my family all the time. we used to send gifts and letters to each other and take turns playing the events.
now, my parents are split up, and the game has been untouched for years. i couldnt bring myself to play it so i restarted the town.
i will never forget it though. i would do anything to go back to those days

Great story! It's a shame you can't keep in touch with her anymore :(

When I was little, my sister would play Wild World. By then, I had developed this ritual of rushing over to her whenever I heard the DS turn on, so I watched her play. After a while, she got bored and gave it to me, and I would play it every once-in-a-while, but never got so into it.

About 3 years later, we went on vacation to my cousin's place. I discovered their GameCube with Animal Crossing. I decided to play it, and it kept me busy for those 2 weeks. I can still remember some villagers: Peanut, Axel, Tangy, I think Rasher. But there was a problem with the memory card, so I had to switch to another game.

Aw, what a touching story! ;w; I don't really have any experiences like that, except when me and my friends would play Animal Crossing together. We were all still in elementary school, and sometimes my homeroom teacher would let our class bring electronics to school on Friday. All of us would bring Wild World and visit each other's towns. :) But towards the end of the year we slowly began to speak about it less and less, until we stopped altogether. None of us have said anything since; my sisters and I will sometimes talk to each other about it, though.
Although the graphics in Wild World are horrible compared to the graphics in New Leaf, I still miss playing the game. I can't get into it anymore, though. I miss the excitement of waiting for New Leaf...those are just memories now. But I will never forget Animal Crossing's nostalgia! :)

That's a cute story. :)

I don't have any stories like that for AC. The Gamecube game came out when I was 19. WW came out when I was 22. Yeah, I guess I'm old. :p

My best kid story involving video games was when I was 9 or 10 my stepfather, over the course of a month, created an original board game based on various NES games. It was kinda like a mix of Monopoly and Sorry. He made the board, cards, playing pieces, and everything. It was a complete surprise, something he worked on when I was asleep in bed at night. I played it so much with him, my siblings, and friends that the cards, board, etc started to fall apart. It was awesome. Even though he wasn't my real dad, he treated me like I was his real kid. :)
