I think they are just calling them bugs because you have to catch them with a net in the game. Like a frog and a crawfish are not fish, but you have to use your fishing rod to catch them. I know it's not technical, but it's not a technical game.
I thought maybe they put it as an insect because thats the only section it would make sense in. I don't think you could put it in the Paintings. Also note it is aimed for young shildren who probably wouldn't know a snail, scorpion and tarantulas aren't insects.
I will agree that the game is for children. But rather than give that tidbit of information to children they said something along the lines of "pulling a snail's shell off its body would tear open its insides. I would lose my lunch forever if i saw that" not exactly aimed towards kids lol

Also, Rene, i care. I did a collage report on how falsified information can lead to a decline in human development (and it was mostly aimed to movies who used incorrect time lines, but this counts as incorrect info).
