if i remember in Wild World the Scorpion and Tarantula would make odd sounds when they run away from you is this happening late at night? try taking out your net when you hear it if one of these attacks you then thats what it is.

But those only come out during the summer time and it is indeed fall.
Also the sound those animals made in wild world sound nothing like the noise we here...
Grr...what could this be?!
It's not the mole cricket either because I have caught one of those and the sound happens once and does not continue. It sounds *kinda* like the noise of someone dropping an item on the ground.

Ok, well I stand corrected there, but the noise those two particular insects made in wild world were scuffling noises. They sound nothing at all like the noise I am hearing.

Dude its a walking stick. Whenever you scare them they disapear. When they disapear they make a noise like your dropping an item. The reason you never noticed it is theg are hard to see and scare very eaisly. There, Mystery solved.
