Well, if we recently make a post on a topic, it goes on the top of new posts, right? But when we edit the post, it doesn't go anywhere. What if you made the last post to your topic, but you want it bumped without double posting? I suggest that the thread be bumped when we edit out posts. It should help us bump threads without fear of being suspended or banned.

I think there's an option to do that, but then old threads would just be popping up everywhere...

Then make it so really old threads can't be bumped.

You can always make it so a topic is bumped automatically only when the Topic Creator edits his/her post.

I thought you just a Mod/Admin and they bump it for you?

Nonono. Bad idea.

You don't know how many people would edit really old posts just for the lulz.

Hehe... that would be me...

Though I think instead: we can allow double posting if the reason for it is worthy for the topic being bumped...

ZB doesn't really have a computer running mind. The only thing to do would be to turn the board offline and go thread surfing for old threads and lock them, then allow that law. There's also an option for polls to bump threads too. But regardless, ZB isn't a super computer; in other words, it can't tell how old a thread is.

There is only ONE box for Zeta that allows this, and no matter where the topic is, if you edit, it bumps.

No thread needs bumping unless you are going to contribute something important to it then it's not a big deal if you bumped it.

Bad idea.
