A Wild Newbie Appeared...

Hello, my name is Meeri and I'm obviously new here, and I'm also new to Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
I got the game last week, and I don't know why I hesitated on getting it, it's probably the best game that I played in a long time. LOL.

Anyways, I'm lost too, I don't know what I'm doing, I'm running around, doing random things.

If anyone has any guides, please link them for me, pretty please?
Also, I read up on google that I need to get more fruit? I started off with cherries and my mom gave me peaches in the mail.

Do I need to find someone to trade?
I haven't found my fruit island yet apparently, so.

EDIT:: I'm not able to be on regularly, my job is very demanding of my time, and I do think my job doesn't want me to have personal time to myself.

They are cute! I had Pashmina at one point, and I have Bam's amiibo card. I don't get to play often anymore, but there are lots of people here who play all the time!

Welcome to the forums! c: I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the game so far! We have a New Horizons FAQ, which links to some other user guides as well, so I hope those will be helpful.
I think you do have to trade with other players to collect all the types of fruit—I'm afraid I've not been super active in ACNH lately myself, but there's a ton of lovely people on here who I'm sure will be happy to help! ^^

man, your starter villagers are absolute cuties. i’ve had bam and pashmina on my island as well, and they’re two of my favourite villagers! i’m glad you’re liking them (and new horizons) so far!

as for your fruit question, you only have access to 3 different fruits without trading with other people — your native fruit (yours is cherries), your sister fruit (yours is peaches) and coconuts (which can be found on palm trees on nook mile and kapp’n’s mysterious islands. i’m not sure if you know about those yet haha). you’ll have to trade with other players to get the other fruits (oranges, apples and pears). i’m afraid i don’t know of any game guides for you, but if you have any other questions, please feel free to ask and i’ll gladly help you out if i can! also, don’t feel bad about just running around and doing random things in-game — i do the same thing myself (as do a bunch of other players), and i’ve been playing since the game first came out . you’ll get the hang of it! <3

also, i like your avatar as well! i’m not sure where it’s from either, but i like how bright it is haha.
