I know the lines are crappy as f*** but I have this thing. I call it "Jiggle hands" I have shaky hands they never stop shaking (it's heritary) so my hands shake all the time, make straight and clean lines very hard to do

Not actively seeking critiques, but if you wanna leave one I guess feel free, I can't stop ya.

This is my attempt.

For once I'm pleased with something that I drew. I think it's pretty good for my 1st tracing on a tablet. Also this is my 1st day using a tablet. Soooooo yeah

you'll suck at first, everyone does when they first get a tablet. this was my first attempt:

the only way to go is UP!

Don't worry about your lines being shaky, it's pretty darn hard at first to get the hang of of hand-eye coordination with tablets. I mean, art is my job at this point but just between us, I still can't really draw a long, straight stroke on a tablet nicely.

But things will get better, really, give it about 3 months or so and it'll become easier. Also, is the program you draw in MS Paint? I think you should get something better, many programs have a stabilizer too, so that would help you immensely with the shaky hands issue. There are some free ones out there that are great, I encourage you to try them out (Krita, Medibang Paint, FireAlpaca)

Also, I don't advise tracing. It doesn't really help you much as you copy the artist's mistakes, and is generally frowned upon (you credited and were honest about it, so nobody will scrutinize you, but be careful. Tracing is generally considered stealing.)

What's your tablet btw? Best of luck with your art journey, keep going and show us more. But really, it's cooler if you do your own pieces!

Thank you! For me, art is a hobby, but Iwouldn't mind opening a tbt sop if i improve. I've been using SAI to draw these (minus the 1st 3 completed ones which where on firealpaca) and my tablet is a Turcom TS-6540 (it was like $20 and many reviews said it was a great starter tabelt. I don't really want to drop a huge amount of cash on this...at least not right away)

Also as for tracing, I only plan to do it to learn, I won't do it for a shop/freebies or anything.

This is a tracing I did of a 'kawaii shrimp.' I drew this in my sketchbook like 2 weeks ago but thought it would be fun to do this on my laptop. Orignal piece by Dawn (dear god how i love her, she legit draws everything and anything) on a site called Dragoart.

Hey! I decided to open up freebies for some practice! Even if you think my art is *****, which it is, please request so I can practice and also give me feedback once I finish. Thank you! (Form will be posted in OP)

Awww! Such a cute OC!

Also I finished a drawing of my OC @_@

the Base is a tracing from Dawn @ DragoArt

It was a chibi David Bowie, but like halfway through I was like "You know, I don't really want to draw David Bowie (mainly because idk who he is)"

SO the rest was freehanded and I have mixed feelings with this. I think I need to work on doing shorter lines? I tend to draw long lines the whole time, maybe I should go shorter? Also the lines are so sloppy ;-;

so if i had to rate it, i'd give myself like a 3/10

this took about 3 hours to do

I think you should really stop tracing, it only hinders your learning and the artist you're tracing from might be very unhappy with it.

Aali, instead of tracing, I would recommend you to download free bases on deviantart instead, if you're into that sorta thing. If you want to trace, please don't post them here. It should only be for your own practice.
