ABD Question (SOLVED)

so I'm restarting my town and I have almost 30 million bells in my ABD that I would like to bring to my new file so I'll have to drop it off in my friend's town while I restart.

did the update add the ability to use the ABD in another town or will I have to make constant trips back and forth carrying the bells in my pockets? if it's the latter i'll be quite disappointed.

(or by some chance does ACNH do the same thing that new leaf does where you can transfer your bells/catalog when you restart?)

I can confirm that the ABD nook miles item does work that way! The ABD inside the residential center I'm not too sure about, so it's probably best your friend puts down a ABD outside just in case.

Unfortunately that one doesn't work the same way. All you get by interacting with the storage cabinets on other islands is a reminder to clean out your own storage haha.

luckily I don't have too many items I really want to transfer to my new town (tryna start with a clean slate) so hopefully I can get them all in 1-2 trips.

the only tricky part will be getting all 30 mil bells lol

Couldn’t you, in theory, use the ABD on your friend’s island, and then get an ABD for your new island right off the bat so you could save the multiple trips from your friend’s island to yours? o: maybe that would alleviate some stress around it a bit!

Yes I can confirm you use the ABD on someone's island, however the Storage Shed doesn't work.
