Smash Bros About running away from character battles in Ultimate

Is there a character that you despise so much that if you have a chance to unlock said character you just quit the match or lose on purpose to not get them? For me, that character would be Ice Climbers. Have you fled from characters just because you didn't like them?

There's a couple of characters I really dislike (ROB, Pacman, Duck Hunt and Game&Watch to name a few), but I would still rather just unlock them. Whether it's for completion sake, so that friends can play as said characters if they so wish, the fact that I'm going to keep seeing that character in single player and online anyway. Just seems pretty pointless to avoid unlocking them.

I didn't say anything about never unlocking them although you could never unlock a character if you wanted. I meant more of just unlocking them last should you choose to get them. Even though I hate ICs with a passion, I'll probably just unlock them at the very end when I feel like it.

I may feel like running away from them, but I'd always give it a shot. Even when I was fighting Bayonetta with Isabelle and knew I had no chance, I still gave it a go and got absolutely smashed lmao. I know I can always try again so it doesn't bother me if I lose

I am currently avoiding several of them like Ness, Duck Hunt, Little Mac, and Rob. I will probably unlock them later, but the fact that the challenger changes if you lose just makes me want to look for ones I like first. I have lost to Ness so many times trying to rematch other characters. One time I just stood there taunting and it took him a few minutes to kill me. Lol

Yes, but only when I come against some cheese online who uses a spammy fighter I despise. I can win with more effort for sure (because they're the ones running away and spamming) but it's not my definition of fun to deal with players like that.

As much as I wanted to unlock Pokemon Trainer and other characters I wanted to play with ASAP I still tried to unlock who ever spawned first.

Incineroar is so ugly and looks like a chester cheeto garfield tony tiger wet dream. I wish I wouldn't have unlocked him.

Nah, I haven’t ran away from any of them and don’t plan on it anytime soon. There’s a couple that have been tough (like Pit), but I still wouldn’t run away from them. Gotta unlock em’ all!
