Well most you probably read what I put up on the site about what he said, but there was also another thing later on. Also, many websites are mistakingly stating that ACWW has sold 7 million units, but I'm pretty sure that is all games together.
Towards beginning (what I already posted on the site):
Towards end:
Towards beginning (what I already posted on the site):
"Then came Animal Crossing. Now when this game came out, I had ensured my wife that there were no enemies to fight in this game, so she agreed to actually touch the controller. And she became very happy exchanging letters with her children and even cutting down trees. The wife-o-meter meter moved up a little bit more..."
Towards end:
"...And in this sense, Zelda became the inspiration for something very different, Animal Crossing. This is a game based soley on communication and cooperation, and is virtually without competition. And as I said earlier, even my wife agreed to try it because it was designed to be friendly and non-threatening. Our team was looking for elements that would make the player happy simply by moving their character around the game world. But the interesting thing was that Animal Crossing was also enjoyed by many who were hard-core gamers. So what I learned from this was that what gamers are looking for in games isn't necessarily always the best graphics or better audio, or better production. And now world-wide the Animal Crossing games have sold over seven million players. And they have invited quite a few gamers into the Forest.
