My New Leaf by comic321

Ever have those days when you feel like something's missing in life? Have you ever felt like there's more to life than what's happening now? I do. I feel like there's something out there; calling me...

I have dreams of a happy little village called Shadic. I see people. Animal people to be exact. I see them welcoming me, observing me, befriending me. I see myself in a big building known as the town hall. As I walk into the town hall, I feel a strange sensation throughout my body. Feelings of excitement & joy, fear & sadness, & so many other emotions, that if I name them all, I just might BURST!!!!

Then I see the chair. The mayor's chair. This chair has been sat on by many other mayors. I can't say how many, but I'm sure there was plenty of them. As I walk towards the chair, my heart starts racing. Sweat dripps from my forehead in anticipation. I can feel a great force from the chair, calling out to me as I inch everso close to it. It's as if it was my destiny to sit in this chair & play the very important role of the town: The Mayor.

I rode the train for quite a ways,
with rover by my side.
He told me what I need to know,
about where I will reside.
The train pulled up and I jumped out,
surprised by what I found...
They clapped and cheered, "Horray! She's here!"
As they gathered all around.
At first I was in quite the shock,
Being mayor can be so tough.
Then I realized, where opportunity lies
And I knew I'd be enough.
We walked to the center of town,
to plant a little tree.
Watch it grow, and before you know...
You'll make a mayor out of me.

Beyond the glowing fruits and light
the animal forest does reside
with cats and dogs and little squirrels,
who could have found this tiny world?

A paradise, or something else?
I hear the leaves, I hear the bells.
The creatures croon, and laugh, and play
They jibber jabber through the day.
Between the chirps and squeaks and burps
we listen to their kindly words.

Who can say that time should freeze
The animals, their whole lives seized.
Just because I am not there,
the weeds will grow, the land will tear.
Days don't stop for just one man,
we must live right there with the land.

We take the time, we plant the trees.
We make the world our dream to be.
We take the good, we take the bad.
As creatures march across the land.

A Haiku

gracie grace you is fab
but if you sass me again
i will cut your face

Welp, I don't know how good it is, but I figure I might as well give it a shot! xD Written from the point of view from the very first character I made in Population Growing, as my character in New Leaf that I will be playing as is that girl (myself) now ten years older. She's moved from Sunville to Moonvale to start a brand new leaf life.

~~~
Ten years ago, at least
I set my feet in Sunville proper.
Ten years have passed and I set out
to see what my world now offers.
From Sun to Moon
Ville to the Vale
My new home is so much more.
From poor child walking into Raccon's debt
To a woman walking into a Shih Tzu's 'trap'.
Once a pauper, now a mayor.
A Three room house is now a six room mansion.
Kapp'n has a family.
Should I tell his wife he hit on me?
That tortoise is now retired.
Suits me fine, I did more work than him.
Tom Nook to Reese, new faces and old.
To species I have not seen before.
Some act the same, some act so strange.
I change my style, shoes, and socks.
My palette has evolved, but also has my design
Dresses grow longer, as do my sleeves.
A shoe store? I need boots for winter!
Just yesterday I went for a swim in the sea.
As a child I would have been too afraid!
My life has changed since I turned a new leaf.
And yet, my happy days still feel the same.
A Haiku about Animal Crossing: New Leaf
It comes out exam week
I must resist temptation
Someone please help me
You lucky 7 will get 10 bells each for being the first to participate!
Remember deadline is May 6th !
Roses are red, violets are blue, sadly animal crossing does not have violets.
Here's one I made just for fun because I enjoyed making the 1st one.
The Big Bell Theory or Tom Nook: Moneymaker
In the world of animal crossing, bells make the world go round.
You gain bells to buy things, you lose bells to pay your rent.
Your money goes one way, two ways, three ways, four; but that Real Estate Tanuki gets more & more!
What is his secret? How does he do it? Do you know what it is? If you do, please tell, don't keep it!
The truth is...Tom Nook is the REAL boss in town. Not you, not me or even the mayor! He has all the chips, he has all the cards. Tom Nook is the one who keeps order around.
Thats my poem!
comic321- your poem is very detailed and I almost feel as if I'm in your shoes. It was great!
Bambi- your poem uses foreshadowing so excelently it all leads down to that terrific last line!
Juicebox- I love how your poem mentions how your town will go on even if you're not there. Animal Crossing really is paradise!
gorgonara- A couple of these poems made me laugh, your's was one of them! I can totally relate with that giraffe giving me a moldy shirt ;)
Officer Berri- your poem had a lot of meaning! I really love the comparisions and contrasts between the Gamecube version and New Leaf! Good job!
Trundle- Another funny one! But the first line needs 5 not 6 syllables, and everyone can relate to your situation x)
Kip- So true and funny! Such I shame because I love that color <3
1st- Bambi and Officer Berri! Both of yours were too good! Each of you will get 50 bells :)
2nd-comic321! 30 bells great job =)
3rd- Juicebox! 20 bells, I loved it!
I would like to say that deciding the winners was very hard for me. I read many of your poems over and over getting more out of it each time. I admire you all because I could never right a poem in one sitting, lol! You all must me great at writing letters/cards, probably much better than me :)
All these poems made me smile because it's so great to see so many people loving and respecting the same things that we all do which is Animal Crossing. AC has and always will be a big part of our lives and for you guys to put it into words it is truly heartwarming. I think I start my own diary with Animal Crossing poems and writings inside. You all inspired me to do so. Thank you!
I hope you all have a nice night ^<^
