ac:nh, pocket camp vibes?

I wasn't really a fan on pocket camp, it just felt too limiting
I'm happy to have more choices in what to do and where to go, and not have to play animal crossing on a tiny screen

new horizons may have gotten a few gameplay ideas from pocket camp but from what i?ve seen of new horizons so far, i get more of a harvest moon vibe than pocket camp aha

Literally every AC games takes elements from the one before it. I'm sure I'll miss a million others, but these are some of the things that come to mind:

-City Folk had the shopping area, Shampoodles and the ability to add a few buildings. These features were present and improved in New Leaf.

-New Leaf - Added new character customization (hairstyles and skin color through tanning), house customization (like themed exteriors and fences) and gave players an occupation in town. With Amiibo cards, and Wisp's lamp, we could call villagers. All of which made it into the next installment, Happy Home Designer.

-Happy Home Designer improved home decorating (even including things like blinds and other window treatments) and added more items to the catalogue. Skin color became permanent, which meant players no longer needed to tan their characters. These were all included in Pocket Camp.

-Pocket Camp has added new hairstyles and the system of collecting materials to craft. These, plus more, will be in New Horizons.

Of course there's gonna be similarities, that how AC has always worked. That's not a bad thing since there are constant improvements on the things they pass on to new installments. I don't mind DLC, since it's optional, but I'd rather wait to see what all Nintendo has in store before being upset/disappointed with unconfirmed features.

Edit:
I wish they'd think about adding farming XD

It's a little bit concerning, actually. *Insert what I've been saying for ages about my opinions of NH*

The main reason I'm wondering if NH will be like PC is because of the limited memory space the Switch has. In order to conserve memory for more important things (furniture, villagers, graphics, etc) what if they decided to water down the gameplay? Just a thought. Negative, but a thought nonetheless.

Zelda fits on the switch cart. The Witcher 3 fits on a switch cart.

Animal Crossing at its most complicated would not have more data than either of those HUGE games.

in a weird way, yes!

honestly, i was a bit skeptical about crafting in new horizons, but i'm okay with it now and i'm excited to see what will happen :)

The new leaf game was like 1gb, I think the game being 6x bigger is an improvement.

- - - Post Merge - - -

Let's not forget that new leaf had tons of content aswell.

New Leaf was also on a smaller and different system.
