I recently had quite a few people ask me about which site they should use for trade, possibly because I have an account on the more commonly use sites... So I decided I'd post this real quick. Please note that this is just what I have noticed, and there are some exceptions! So here I go :)

Bell Tree Forums: This WAS my personal favorite. This is also the first and only place I've ever been scamed. Here, people tend to be more "Get in, Trade, Get out" Usually not very personal, all about the buisness. TBTF has freat staff which are very helpful and enforce the rules. It is very organized and easy to maneuver. The villagers offered is a typical balance between popular and not popular, no one villager is commonly offered. But when it comes to peoples dreamies, it's very lop sided, not many people want less popular villagers. This tends to be the place where you can buy villagers the cheapest. Also has many other great forum categories!

AdoptMyVillager(Reddit): Very fast paced, and can be very unfair at times. There is a balance of business only and personal traders. Sort of organized and east to maneuver. When on the main page, near the top there is the "Hot" tab and the "New" tab. Due to the fact that not all people know about this or click the "new" tab, there are many times that someones post may not be viewed until its too late. The messaging system is not as good as the others, the notification is a small envelope that turn orange, not always noticeable. There is a slightly lop sided balance between popular and non-popular villagers, there tend to be SLIGHTLY more of the average villagers (Agnes, Ken, ect.) There are many other pages for other topics on Reddit (Which is kinda hard to navagate in my oponion)

Animal Crossing Community: My new personal favorite. Not very organized compared to the others, and sorta hard to manage at first. When you first create an account there are mant limitations as to where, if, and how many times you can post, which was agravating for me. But once you find out where everything is it is fine. The people here are more personal then the other sites, more generous, and more polite, which I like! It is more common for people to want to explore your map/hang out after a trade, but are ok if you decline. I got many villagers here for free(Hamphrey, Agnes, Genji) The messaging system is organized and has the option to have many people in the group at once, they are known as "Private Threads" There tend to be more giveaways and more trades of rare villagers compared to other sites.

Tumblr(villagertrade): There is not much of a community here and is pretty fast paced. This place is mostly business (NOTE: This is not referring to the people) It can also be confusing to people not familiar to Tumblr, but there is a very helpful "Black List" to help keep you from scammers.. You may only post here if the villager you're trading is moving. Also, it may take a couple minutes for your post to be approved. This tends to be more of a last resort when people can't trade the villager somewhere else. There is a mix between all villagers found here.

GameFAQs: This is the site I'm newest to. It's not very organized, more general. But it aggravates me. There are less topics shown per page, so it can be very annoying loading the next page if you have slow internet, I have fast internet and it's still annoying. The board is categorized as "Trading/Online" So there are many Furniture trade topics, and online game play topics, making it hard to find a specific villagers. There tends to be more of the less popular villagers here, also, there tends to be more furniture then villagers.

I'm not trying to talk bad about one site or another, this is all just what I observed. What sites so you guys use? What one(s) is/are your favorite(s)? :)

belltree - i prefer belltree. nice people, haven't been scammed.

reddit - reddit is gross

acc - i have an acc account and i hate how you cant pick your own avatars. the layout is ugly imo and its unorganized.

tumblr - i only giveaway villagers on tumblr. i wouldn't trade on tumblr though. its a hassle atm when half your asks dont send to someone. the community is nice though, but there are some bad apples.

gamefaq - messy. i wouldn't trust them tbh

Bell Tree - The main villager trading forum I use.
Reddit - I really like Reddit so far, I haven't been on it for long though.
ACC - I hate ACC, I used to love it but the people on there are horrible.
Tumblr - Never used it for villager trades but it has a somewhat nice community.
GameFAQs - I hate the forums, having such a short page list is ridiculous.. I only turnip on here.
