I remember that if you hack, you have a "virus" and whoever interacts with you will be given the "virus" and can spread and vice versa.
That's the biggest lie I've ever heard. The program most commonly used for modifying save files in Animal Crossing: City Folk doesn't do anything malicious to the user's game or computer, and visiting a modified town will have no impact on you.

A "hacked" town is just a regular town except the user has specified what acre types are in what position, what buildings are in what position, and what items and objects are in the town, and what positions they are in.

I'll say again: there is no negative impact from visiting a town which has been modified using 3rd party software.
Read the rules. And the virus is real. And the chance of the virus bricking your Wii is less than 1%.
The only rules I can see are the Board Rules at the top of the index.

The virus is fake. There's no results on Google nor any logical explanation as to how a virus can exist on a savegame and somehow spread to other Wii consoles by a player visiting a town. The chances of it bricking your Wii is less than 1% because it doesn't exist. There's a 0% chance that a virus that doesn't exist will brick your Wii.

Give it up.
also wrong

the new update may brick the wii if there is nothing wrong with it... just stop flaming and stay on topic...
The official 4.2 update isn't a virus. That has nothing to do with Animal Crossing or hacking. In fact, there's no reason to even bring it up. It doesn't prove or disprove any points in this thread.

Also, nobody's flaming. Spend a little more time on the internet and learn what flaming really is.

Get back to the topic? I came in here to defend the guy because you were the one who was being a total douche to him over changing his town around.

I'm glad to see that I changed your point of view, regardless.

My work is done.

All I said was that hacking wasn't allowed. THAT'S IT. So please get the *censored 8.0* off. I've done nothing wrong. Your the one spamming, changing the subject, etc. Sticks and stones might break my bones but names shall never hurt me. So call me what you like.

Woah, calm down, son.

You told him that he isn't wanted.

You changed the subject the moment you started discussing hacking.

Sticks and stones? I haven't insulted you once.

I just think it's funny that you went from not wanting to go to his town because he modified it
Depends if your AC:CF War is hacked. If it is, no thanks.
to wanting to go to his town.

I was trying to change the subject. And all I said was hacking isn't wanted here, not him. You also did insult me.

I was referring to your attitude toward him, son.

No need to get butthurt over someone calling you out the way you act. That's life.

This entire thread is just, "Boohoo, I'm reporting you." Calm down.

You can argue semantics all you like about to what extent hacking is allowed, but this argument that a virus exists in hacked saves is ridiculous. That is just completely false. I find it hard to believe there are actually people in this thread telling others their Wiis will be infected with a virus if they share friend codes with somebody who has modified their Animal Crossing: City Folk saves. And to cap it all off, they're shouting "I AM REPORTING YOU!" like we're back in a primary school playground. You were all wrong (Not you, Irock :*) - get over it.

Oh, and more thing, you did change the subject, Mohawkien. And you were a total douche about it.
