The official 4.2 update isn't a virus. That has nothing to do with Animal Crossing or hacking. In fact, there's no reason to even bring it up. It doesn't prove or disprove any points in this thread.Clown Town said:also wrongIrock said:The only rules I can see are the Board Rules at the top of the index.nook said:Read the rules. And the virus is real. And the chance of the virus bricking your Wii is less than 1%.Irock said:That's the biggest lie I've ever heard. The program most commonly used for modifying save files in Animal Crossing: City Folk doesn't do anything malicious to the user's game or computer, and visiting a modified town will have no impact on you.nook said:I remember that if you hack, you have a "virus" and whoever interacts with you will be given the "virus" and can spread and vice versa.
A "hacked" town is just a regular town except the user has specified what acre types are in what position, what buildings are in what position, and what items and objects are in the town, and what positions they are in.
I'll say again: there is no negative impact from visiting a town which has been modified using 3rd party software.
The virus is fake. There's no results on Google nor any logical explanation as to how a virus can exist on a savegame and somehow spread to other Wii consoles by a player visiting a town. The chances of it bricking your Wii is less than 1% because it doesn't exist. There's a 0% chance that a virus that doesn't exist will brick your Wii.
Give it up.
the new update may brick the wii if there is nothing wrong with it... just stop flaming and stay on topic...
Also, nobody's flaming. Spend a little more time on the internet and learn what flaming really is.
