You don't have to buy a nintendo online subscription, but you need to link a nintendo account to get access to most of the holidays. Follow this guide if you're not sure how to do it https://en-americas-support.nintend...to-link-a-nintendo-account-to-nintendo-switch

I gave a glitch. My villager shep only wears his default shirt. I gifted him things according to the guide and still. Everytime i go on the game, or if I leave a friend’s island and go back to mine he’s always wearing the default top. Everyday. How do I fix this?
