ACNH or ACNL

ACNH. I absolutely loved NL, and right now there’s a lot more furniture overall but this game, for all its shortcomings in a lot of areas, feels fuller (just you wait for the updates)!

NH - The customization alone brought this series into an entirely different arena

ive actually found my self returning to NL and even playing it a little more than NH! nh has the better graphics and presentation ofc but something about NL always draws me in and keeps me playing for longer, at least so far. maybe its the nostalgia? but i think NL is more life sim focused whereas NH goes HARD on decor and terraform and stuff. deffs the major focus, which isnt like a bad thing at all - but i just dont enjoy that stuff as much as NL's focus on gameplay

New Leaf is better in my opinion. The graphics kinda suck in this game compared to the New Horizons but the game itself is more fun. Plus New Horizons doesn’t really bring anything new, they keep adding New Leaf features, like being able to swim, then the online island. I feel like New Horizons is more of a design your island game.

New horizons for sure.
I absolutely love that I can place outdoor furniture in large quantities.
I really also like the fact that I have total control over my entire town and if I don't like something I can fix it!
it's also really nice that you don't have to painstakingly wait a couple days to tear down things. ( Not buildings or houses). but if you want to tear down a park and put in a pool you can it's and it's really easy.

I think NL has a better vibe and I prefer the mountain/forest look of the town as opposed to a tropical island. Of course NH has better decoration options and better QOL. For example I really disliked how you couldn’t really control where villagers move in NL

ACNH all the way.

They really did well with the new features. Of course, I still want the items and NPCs from NL..... but overall NH is a much more fun game to play.

I haven’t played new leaf in a while, so I’m pretty sure if I went back the graphics would not compare to new horizons! I guess it wouldn’t be a fair comparison unless I actually decided to boot new leaf back up & play. But I’m currently feeling new horizon that I probably won’t go back.

For me, I always find myself coming back to New Leaf. I’m just waiting until more updates come out for New Horizons and then I can play it and hopefully trade online with other people. I’ve been addicted lately to the New Leaf 3DS/Wii Console mini games and trying to get all of the items lol. New Horizons has better graphics and no one can deny that, I just like New Leaf because it is more developed and it’s such a cute game with nostalgia.

I love both dearly, but for quality of life stuff I'm gonna have to say New Horizons over New Leaf ;-; it's just so much easier to carry more stuff around, more design slots, and I don't even mind the tools breaking cos there are so many different designs and they're cute as heck ;-; my only problem is that gold tools break really quickly. They should deffo last longer! Also the golden slingshot should have three pellets -.-

Both are special in their own way. When I pick up ACNL occasionally, the gameplay seems so foreign to me b/c I'm accustomed to a completely different console. Picking up flowers puts it in your pocket, whereas in NH you end up leaving the buds in the ground. The graphics are a major difference as well... Obviously not as clean as the switch version. Less control over the space you're given as well.

I really can't choose between a favorite because both were prime in their time.

honestly, I loved ACNL but playing it now gives me headaches... the ACNH graphics boost is a must for me, and unfortunately I cannot go back!! lol

New Horizons, but only because it's a step up from what New Leaf was. I know, people will say it's an incomplete game, and it is for now. I love both games, but I really love the details and art direction they went with New Horizons. If New Leaf had the option of placing furniture out doors, then I'd prefer it much more. For the time being, it's sort of unfair to compare the two, but that's just me.
