As a mayor I am a major noob. When I go to my other friends' towns I see really good stuff.

I have some questions, you don't obviously have to answer them all -

1.The more I buy things the bigger the shops will get thus expanding their market?

2.Where do I buy lots of flowers?

3.I have run out of storage right now, how/where can I store more things?

4.What does the Dream Suite do exactly?

5.I swear my friend had a coffee shop, how do I get this in my town?

6.Is expanding your house endless?

7.Rare items/collections...somebody list a few you have in mind?

8.When playing Animal Crossing, list a few things you do? (Non-multiplayer)

9.Tips to make my town look better? (It's rather plain at the moment, the only thing I have going for me is a fountain and a yellow bench)

1.The more I buy things the bigger the shops will get thus expanding their market? Yes!

2.Where do I buy lots of flowers? You can buy flowers in Lief's shop on main street, or here on the re-tail or tbt marketplace board

3.have run out of storage right now, how/where can I store more things? If you have filled your wardrobe/locker you can always drop things on the floor or keep them in your pockets/inventory

4.What does the Dream Suite do exactly? You can visit other people's town using dream addresses. Once you pay it off you can create your own dream address (also called DA in abbreviation)

5.I swear my friend had a coffee shop, how do I get this in my town? Use this guide : http://www.thonky.com/animal-crossing-new-leaf/the-roost-cafe/

6.Is expanding your house endless? No, you can have 6 rooms, and each one can be expanded twice after being created.

7.Rare items/collections...somebody list a few you have in mind? Sets you get from events and can't re-order. Such as the weeding day set, 7/11 set, egg set, etc. Also downloadable content from different countries.

8.When playing Animal Crossing, list a few things you do? I mostly landscape my town, breed flowers and buy things here, as well as all the daily things you do like fishing, bug catching, donating to the museum, talking to villagers, building public work projects, etc.

9.Tips to make my town look better? (It's rather plain at the moment, the only thing I have going for me is a fountain and a yellow bench) You can use the big sewing machine that you can unlock at able's to register QR codes to create paths. You can buy bush starts, special flowers, and tree saplings to add to your town here. Eventually, your villagers will request some cool projects, but there is a trick for that which can get you 1 project a day! To get more bells, you can exchange your forum bells (underneath your avatar) for in game bells. The exchange rate is 4-5mil per 100 forum bells. The more you post here, the more forum bells you get !
If you need any help at all, message me :)

1: Generally, Yes!
2: You can only ever buy two per day from the gardening center no matter how large it becomes, so your best way is to breed.
3: If you have the museum gift shop you can use the exhibits as storage units, but I would recommend getting rid of stuff instead.
4: The dream suite allows you to travel to dream versions of other people's towns, while in someone's town you can do anything you want to it, but in reality nothing would actually happen. Per example, you could cut down all of their trees, but in reality, the trees would still be there. Or, you can store your town in the database for others to visit!
5: this guide will really help!
6: No. You may have 4 rooms (including your main) on the main floor, a room in the basement and a room upstairs. They are all able to become full-sized.
7: Japanese holiday items, such as throwing beans. Villager pictures.. etc.
8: There's endless things to do. Tasks for villagers.. it goes on and on. I find one of the most fun things is developing my town.
9: Over time your villagers will request different public works projects and then you can decorate with those. guide here!

Hope I helped a bit : ).

The beautiful town ordinance will help you get tons of flowers, so many you'll probably be annoyed (your villagers will plant them all nilly-willy all over the place without rhyme or reason). As to things to do on your own, there's quite a lot especially if you're just starting. Personally, I love making clothes and raising hybrids (you can check out what these are and how to grow em here: http://www.thonky.com/animal-crossing-new-leaf/flowers-hybrids/). I also really recommend talking to Sable (form the Able sisters) every day so you can get quick access to the QR machine. If you ever want paths, this will help a lot!

Good luck! Everyone here is very kinda and helpful so you'll easily find what you need ^^

1.The more I buy things the bigger the shops will get thus expanding their market?
Yes when you spend a certain amount of money the store will expand. Here is a helpful guide!

2.Where do I buy lots of flowers?
Leif's garden shop will sell 2 flower bags a day, which will open after watering/planting 30 flowers. If you have the island unlocked, its also helpful to go to the island and do tours, during the tour load your pockets with flowers and you get to keep them :) Put them in your box so you can take them back to town!

3.I have run out of storage right now, how/where can I store more things?
You can't unfortunately, clear storage by selling to retail though. Some people store things in the museum exhibits on the second floor which you can unlock after donating 30 things to the museum and talking to blathers everyday. There has to be a minimum of one thing in each section and 30 total things throughout the museum.

4.What does the Dream Suite do exactly?
With a dream code you can visit other people's towns through a dream. You can see what it all looks like and do whatever in it and it doesn't save at all. The owner of the town doesn't see you either, its just a saved version of their town.

5.I swear my friend had a coffee shop, how do I get this in my town?
Donate 50 things to the museum, talk to blathers everyday, minimum of 1 thing in each section of the museum, and the 2nd floor of the museum has to have been open for 7 days at least.

6.Is expanding your house endless?
No it's not, once you finish you can do special HHA contests.

7.Rare items/collections...somebody list a few you have in mind?
Afternoon-tea set, berliner, mostly DLCs are rare. You can look up DLCs from any countries and those are usually the popular/rare/expensive items.

8.When playing Animal Crossing, list a few things you do?
I always do my daily things, watering my flowers and hybrids trying to grow more, dig up the four fossils in town everyday, do favors for my villagers, decorate my house, earn money on the island, hang out on club tortimer sometimes too. I do a lot of wifi playing. I also love landscaping my town, pathing, flower beds, planting trees, making it look really nice. I love love doing that.

9.Tips to make my town look better?
Landscape! I love it. I always get inspiration from other towns via dream suite. The animal crossing fandom on tumblr is a really nice place to see amzing towns haha :p

Again, thank you so much for the help guys, I cannot appreciate it enough. I have another question? I notice people can "giveaway" their villagers when they move out. How would I go about doing this? Yes I'm on Tumblr and follow quite a few Animal Crossing folk :p

When a villager is ready to move out your town (they'll have all their stuff in their house packed up in boxes) if someone from another town comes and talks to them, they can move to their town.

Oh, by the way, don't get rid of or sell at the recycle shop any "unorderable" items! With most items, once you've owned them once you have the ability to re-buy them from the catalog any time you want. But there are some that you can't. Most of them are things like items you get on holidays and events or from a special character... but then there's the surprising ones, like the sloppy furniture and cardboard furniture!

Do you know about beetle farming? It's the best way to make money when just starting out IMO.

1.The more I buy things the bigger the shops will get thus expanding their market? = Yes.

2.Where do I buy lots of flowers? = Leif's Shop, but he'll only let you buy 2 a day until you upgrade the shop. Heading to the island and grabbing as many flowers as you can during tours/minigames gets you flowers for free and in bigger quantities.

3.I have run out of storage right now, how/where can I store more things? = Attach your stuff to letters, then head to the post office to store them. When you need them again, just take them from the post office.

4.What does the Dream Suite do exactly? = You can see other people's towns which are saved to a database. If you want to see a specific dream town, you must get a code for that from the person's town. When you get the Dream Suite, you'll have the option to have your town submitted to the database so other can see your town. Note that if people who visit your town and pick up flowers/change it in any way, your town won't be affected in any way.

5.I swear my friend had a coffee shop, how do I get this in my town? = You need to donate things to Blathers until you get the second floor of the museum. After a while, he'll suggest having a coffee shop in the town. You'll have to donate money to make that happen.

6.Is expanding your house endless? = No.

7.Rare items/collections...somebody list a few you have in mind? = I personally don't collect sets, but I like these ones:

~ princess
~ pave stuff

8.When playing Animal Crossing, list a few things you do? (Non-multiplayer) = Talk to villagers, catch fish/bugs... anything I feel like, TBH.

9.Tips to make my town look better? (It's rather plain at the moment, the only thing I have going for me is a fountain and a yellow bench) = Arrange flowers in flattering formations and plant foliage. Think about having some sort of navigation around your town - like a flower path or pattern path. You can get paths off here, or design your own.

Yes, I have learned a lot from everyone's advice here. c: I think I'm better off researching the rest instead of bothering everyone. Also, why does 1 villager only show up in Club LOL xD
