Great advice! This was my exact plan, although I will add from the videos I've seen that the day resets at 5am, not 6am. Still plenty of time but noteworthy nonetheless.

But yeah, as long as you have about 2 hours before the day resets, you should be good. You can easily do it in less time than that, but I figured 2 hours was a good estimate.

My sister got the game at midnight so she is working on getting the fish n stuff. I got her a ton of branches lol. Unfortunately I got the physical copy through Amazon and while it says it will be here by 11 pm Friday night, it hasn’t shipped yet which makes me concerned. At least I can help my sister progress as far as possible!

The house upgrade comes with storage. That's always a premium in this game. Also, try to unlock the shop asap...Sunday is turnip day.

You will still immediately unlock Nook Miles+ and should hopefully be able to start gathering stuff for Nook's Cranny the next day if you've built the Museum Tent.

The Vaulting Pole comes from Blathers, so you'll get access to that on Day 2 if you unlock and set up the Museum Tent on Day 1.

but can you get Blather to give you descriptions for the fish/insects that you already donated to Nook?

I started just dropping fish and insects outside my tent because I want those Blather descriptions.

For those of you wondering, you'll get the Ladder on Day 3 after you build your first bridge.

I don't know if this is something other people are thinking about...

but can you get Blather to give you descriptions for the fish/insects that you already donated to Nook?

I started just dropping fish and insects outside my tent because I want those Blather descriptions.

I think you can once the full museum is built.
