I dreamed this town as soon as I got the Dream Suite! I happen to like creepy stuff, and watching playthrough videos of it made me want to see it myself, and that was before I got ACNL. Although I like Hitokui better in terms of look, I like the creepy factor in this town better, and I like how it's linear too. It felt like I was playing a horror game for a while.
It's too bad the story is open to interpretation; I like knowing clearly what the story is, but with this one, there's a lot of way to interpret it and I didn't fully understand what some of the symbolism really means. It's vague about who did what!

I think it's well designed. I wasn't scared but I can see why maybe a younger kid might be scared of this town. Does anyone have any other creepy towns to visit? I know there are others but I can never find them.
There's a list of it somewhere, just google "An Animal Crossing Horror Towns Masterpost" (I can't link it since it contain a censored word) Some are a lot scarier and triggering than Aika though, so please be careful before visiting one.
i liked Aika village a lot! definitely some creepyness involved.
of course its not suppose to initiate some nightmares and make you afraid of the dark, if thats what you were expecting then you'll just be unsatisfied lol.
but it nice seeing the creativity put into it, putting the whole "its overrated" attitude aside, its a great town.

Well, 'tis the season, my friend. I've been planning on watching scary movies and visiting scary acnl towns on halloween anyway, (all while eating TONS OF CANDY).
