Alerts when another user posted before you while you were typing.

So you're typing, trying to help out someone but when you click post, someone already helped that person. You end up feeling dumb cause you posted for nothing. You also can't delete your post because this forum doesn't enable that.

We need a little alert that stops you from posting when someone posts while you're typing. "Warning: 1 user has posted while you were typing. You may wish to review your post."

Good idea Y/N/M? It also helps you reply to multiple people between a storm of people posting. For example. Guy A is answering to Guy B. But Girl D asked a question too while you were typing. You can always edit your post, but nobody would really see it due to all the posts people are making.

They have this feature at another forum I go to. I have to say it gets really annoying when it's an active topic. It's almost impossible to post with a slow internet connection.

It's a nice feature but I think the cons outweigh the pros.

That kind of thing is harder to accomplish. One way to do it which is much easier is when you click "post reply" it pops up with any extra posts (if there were any) before submitting yours, after that you can choose to continue with your post or edit it.

I think it would be when you type up a post in a topic and click 'reply' and someone else posts in the thread between the time you wrote it and the time you posted it would bring up a screen that says "A new reply has been posted. Do you still wish to post this message?"
