On Christmas Eve, Nintendo sent out a letter in the mail to all Japanese players of Animal Crossing. In it was contained a "red Pikmin" or as some may call it, a Pikmin Hat. This looks like a helmet, as it goes all around your head, but it is actually a hat, so you can wear accessories to go along with it.
Pikmin is a Gamecube game that many people adore (such as myself), and this red Pikmin resembles the red pikmin in Pikmin, as seen here, but does not have the eyes, as that is the face part. It surrounds your head.
These were not sent out to America or UK, so many view these items as rares. The thing is, they appear in your catalog, for less than 400 bells, so if you catalog one, you can dole them out to everybody. They look cool, and are rare.
I happened to acquire one (it must be because of my time traveling that I got one, not the fact that I know people that had one), and am willing to order / give them out to 3 people. Any takers? They must hand them out to 3 other people though, so it's like a game.
