amiibo card vs strolling around town

Is there any difference in the furniture that becomes available when you call a villager with an amiibo card vs. meeting them in the square and agreeing to build their house? I am just wondering because so far I am running across a pretty amazing selection of villagers roaming around the square. And the only repeats are the ones I haven't agree to work with. It kind of seems like I will be able to contact all 100 this way. Unless there are some that don't show up.

No I believe it's already been said it doesn't change what furniture you get, the cards are only to get all npcs, and for villagers it's just to be able to decorate for them without having to wait for them to appear and call them to a location {but there is more than 100 villagers}
