Since the amiibo plot glitch is apparently fixed according to the patch notes, and there is no 16 villager cycle in this game, could this mean people with amiibo cards can now easily move in an amiibo villager, force them out with another to immediately get them into boxes, rinse and repeat to make tons of bells? I just hope this will calm down some of those ridiculously high nook miles tickets auctions for villagers because I don't have all day to grind nook miles tickets haha (except for the new characters).

I have every amiibo, if you have the time to wait you can order one villager from me.
The cost I guess I'll bill you the the materials it costs me to make the stuff for that villager.
Then you yourself can see whatever you want to give me for the effort.
It will take time however I am moving in a villager myself with amiibo it takes 3 days. In you case I need to cycle someone in that you want, and then I need to cycle in another and then make that one leave.
So I can help you but we are looking at a chunky week here.

a lot of people have them though and they open their cycling shops. the difference between here vs. new leaf is the 3 day move in (it's an effort) and not being able to easily get a 2nd town for your cycling town. but i mean, there's no 16 villager cycle now so that makes things easier at least.
Yeahhhh I'd be delighted to see even that kind of price again right now. That'll be so much easier on the wallet than the NMT.
Hopefully they come out with amiibo cards of the newer villagers soon somehow.... That'll take care of the rest of it. Can't wait till it does.

It means prices might drop but at the same time the villager market will expand. People will be less hesitant to buy villagers since they are no longer worried about the threat of them being amiibo-kicked ones.

But even in New Leaf some people were charging extortionist prices for certain villagers.
I think I had to pay 15 million bells for Zucker (and because I was really naive then, I actually bought the bells with real cash through eBay because I was so desperate to get him).

Yes! I want a villager trading subforum also because the current Nook’s Cranny get buried in villager posts. It’s a bit difficult to navigate through to look at other threads when you need to scan past the villager ones. Hope they make one soon!
I think the prices will decrease a little due to how many people have amiibo cards for the NL villagers but will still stay high for the new NH villagers. Even if it's 3 days to get ppl to move in, you can easily TT the days. I'm not in a rush to get my dreamies and it feels more fun to hunt for them on my own through the game and the RNG. As of now, it's really unaffordable to get all 10 dreamies by buying them through the forums and I'd rather wait for the prices to settled.

The price is going to stay ridiculous for the 8 new villagers though, at least until/if they make amiibo for them, because it's up to luck if you get them.
