Animal Crossing amiibo NFC cards?

Hello everyone! So with New Horizons coming out so soon. I noticed that official Animal Crossing amiibo cards are way overpriced everywhere. I was wondering if those made to order Animal Crossing amiibo NFC cards are safe? I've never tried them before but I might have to buy a couple to get a few villagers that I really want for my island.

How do you guys feel about those? I'm not quite familiar with them. Are they a form of cheating? Is it illegal to use them? Can it damage my game or switch in any way?

No difference in functionality from official, afaik they’re not illegal and I don’t think most people would consider them to be cheating any more than official ones are. They just don’t have that “official collectible” status. The ones that come embedded in custom stickers or keychains are especially nice because they support artists.

from what i’ve read, they should work the same as the official amiibo cards.

i agree with you on the prices tho; ebay especially is bonkers

I know!! I was soooo lucky to snag a Chief card for $9USD incl shipping a few weeks ago. Now everywhere I look I can't find one for less than $25!

You can easily make the amiibo cards yourself for a really low price The cards are blank so you could design them yourself... but like 30 cent per card is a good price if you only need them to move in villagers and don't want to collect them.

Just buy ntag215 cards and you need a phone that can us NFC (Android).

It doesn't harm your switch or anything! If it's legal? I dunno to be honest xD
