Animal crossing and Joycon drift

you know... when i was playing okami yesterday & the other day, i noticed that it wasn't drifting :3

do you think the reason was because i dropped it on the floor i think a couple of days ago & then i think it was yesterday, i dropped it again by acident, causing one of the joycons to come out? i wonder...

Honestly, when I start seeing the drifting issue, I push the stick all the way to one side and blow into it really hard, and then do the same on the other side. I stop having the drifting issue for a long time after that, and I'll just do it again when it starts acting up once again. Seems like they're super sensitive to dust and such and you gotta try to loosen it up.

Joycon drift makes terraforming super annoying since accuracy is important. Both of my left joycons have drifted now (one goes left and the other goes down right) so I bought a kit. Fixing them yourself is actually pretty easy and this comes from someone who sucks at stuff like that. It'll be interesting to see how long the new ones last. What's also interesting is that I've heard the drift is due to dust, however my Switch spends most of its life in a case. I don't leave it sitting in the dock for very long. I guess it really is sensitive to dust.

well, i think a teensy little bit before i dropped it those 2 times, it hadn't been drifting, so i think it got getter at that point... i didn't see much dust in there, either at that point :>

it's only my right joycon that would drift.. i'm pretty sure... *i'm left handed*

i blew into it a few times, too :>
