Animal Crossing Doer the 3DS

Okay so I love animal crossing.
I know a bunch of people do.
Everyone on here must adore it.
I'd like you opinion on the 3DS version.
Why do you think it is taking so long?
Do you play to buy a 3DS XL or keep your current 3DS to play it on?
If you don't own a 2ds which one do you think you will get?

Its actually done already.

I guess NOA didnt want AC released before Wii U because it would end up being overshadowed.
