I mean OH MY GOODNESS! I've been playing new leaf for too long! I didn't realize how mean spirited and RUDE villagers in the first game were! Specially if they were angry, you talk to them too much or turn down a trade offer, or just in general banter! Holy crap! I forgot how much fun the writers back then had with the dialogue LOL! Oh my goodness! God if the villagers in New Leaf were this rude! Oh boy! Like wow!

I never played the GameCube version, but I did play Wild World and I do agree. They had much better dialogue back then, than they do now in New Leaf. Kinda wish I played GameCube though. Would've loved that game. >.>

I am really hoping they bring back the sassy villagers in the Switch version. I feel like it got too "family friendly" with how nice the villagers are! I want some rudeness. Made for fun times.

Yup. I remember Chief calling the player a "Evolutionary Glitch" if you failed one of his tasks and didnt return a item to him.

Lol wow!! I think it's so funny when characters in games act like that. I've only ever had New Leaf, but it would've been nice to see similar dialogue like the GC version in it. Hopefully they'll add that back in the upcoming game!

The rudeness/crankiness of the villagers was interesting in Animal Crossing. I do feel like it should only be for snooty and cranky villagers if they bring it back. And probably not to the extreme that AC did. NL and AC had such extremes with their personalities. People don't usually greet someone with 'you're a waste of space' unless they're in an abusive relationship.

Either that or if they go back to the rudeness level of the gc, I want to be able to shove it back right in their face. None of that just taking it bullcrap, because they didn't feel like coding in responses/retaliation.

Lol I've never played the original AC, but I've always amazed at how extra mean they were in watching these videos. The cranky and snooty villagers are one thing, but I've seen even some of the nicer villagers rip your heart apart for missing an appointment LOL
