Let's just dump it already.

Storm, I know this is heresy for you, but let's just be honest. We talk about XBox here more than Animal Crossing. Yeah, they're fun games, but the ONLY time this site/forum's have any true life to the theme is when a new game comes out. (I.E. every 3 years) Do you honestly want to falsely limit your audience when we actually discuss much more, and anything but Animal Crossing? Not only that, but we are gaining new users who are turned off by how little we talk about AC. Animal Crossing has its own boards, but they are some of the least active, if not THE least active boards here. The ONLY content that is viewed on the site is the Gamer's Lounge stuff, which has nothing to do with Animal Crossing. LOOK AT THE NEWS! Here's our latest AC breaking news- one of our members made an AC LineRider course! OMG! >_>

Is that enough reasons? Or must I go on?

I say keep it Animal Crossing themed.

Even if it's Animal Crossing themed, it doesn't mean that's the only thing we have to talk about. This is probably one of the biggest Animal crossing forums, and I don't want to see it change just because AC isn't popular at the moment.

While I do agree that the forum is hardly centered around Animal Crossing, the forum will most likely not remove it's ties from Animal Crossing.

The staff may consider changing some things though.

I think this can be looked at simply:

TBT is most popular when Animal Crossing is popular.
It's slow when AC is slow.

2 to 3 years ago when ACWW was out, the board was extremely active. Right now there is less AC (nothing new about it for years) so we are less active. But it's only a matter of time before AC Wii is on the way.

Besides, the points you made make no sense. Nobody here is limited to talk about only AC.

Did I ever once say that we are limited to Animal Crossing discussion? I said we are limiting our audience by keeping this forum Animal Crossing theme.

Yeah, sure, it's only a matter of time until ACWii is released, but a month later, the game will die along with the board. Then we wait another three years until people start posting again. Do you honestly want this forum and site to be like that?

It's laughable as to WHY we keep this forum an Animal Crossing theme.

A month? No.

And I like what you said "I never said limiting, I said more like limiting, you know limiting, not limiting?" ^o)

Even if the game's lifespan is longer than a month, how long can in honestly last?

You misread. I said 'NOT limiting discussion, limiting AUDIENCE'

Your logic makes no sense whatsoever. Give me three good reasons as to why we should keep this theme.

The same reasons we've said before. It's no different now other than that you're here and ACWW is older and you think it will somehow help if we get rid of the things that TBT was created for. It's spring... it's suppose to be this slow.

Storm, I have a question for you.

Has someone tied a blindfold around your eyes?

We haven't been this slow because of 'spring', and you know it, man. How the hell can you not see this? TBT was created because the first AC was a huge hit, and that's what brought in members originally. But now, AC has lost life. After ACWii, we'll be waiting until Nintendo releases a new system for a new installment. It's silly, and makes no sense to keep an old phaddish theme that has lost life.

But it's your forum.

The new members that come to talk about AC get scared away with responses like 'OMG nobody here plays that game anymore'

I agree with Koehler. We'd get a few AC fans if we weren't so set on scaring them off. :\

Umm, well, it's true.

Would you like me to lie to new members?

Honestly, I agree with the Fabster on this one. AC is a dying trend, and will only spike when ACWii comes out, which.... isn't in a few months... try a year or two.

In all honesty, we need to either convert to a general gaming forum, or a lot of good members will just leave out of boredom... might actually happen to me. I'm having much more fun on other forums I go to.

I forgot the AC section of the board existed...

I just have it minimized to save me an extra second of scrolling down.

I vote we keep the AC Theme and have alternative skins and such for people who don't want it to look like animal crossing... you can overlook the boards just as simply. No need to ditch your roots.
