Evening, my readers. Yep, all 5 of you.
I played a bit last night, but not that much happened. Lolly gave me a washer/dryer, and Punchy gave me a nebula shirt, but that was about the size of what happened.
This morning, I decided to change into a new outfit, opting on my blue letter jacket to go with my already at-hand 1-up cap. I checked my mail to find a letter from Rosie, which contained a lovely love seat. How...lovely. I set off on my daily round of watering flowers and digging up fossils, and hadn't gone very far when I found Saharah. I wasn't too interested in her services today, though, so I saved my Bells. Punchy was home, so I dropped in to visit him. He was talking about his miyama stag, warning me not to open his cage, because "he's a bit of a wanderer". No kidding, Punch. Up by Re-Tail, Rosie pinged me, saying that I looked different today. She went on to say how I looked better-looking, and that she thinks about me all the time. Could Rosie have a little crush?

I decided to speak to Rosie again, and this time, she gave me an extra denim jacket she had on her. I saw Mira by my bridge, and she wanted to know what kind of pet she should get for herself. I chose turtle, because of "Tortoise and the Hare" and all that, and she asked how you would even raise one. It's not that hard, Mira. I've had reptiles before, and they just take some extra elbow grease to care for... Apollo was nearby, and he saw the electric guitar that Eugene had given to me a while back. He wanted to buy it for 570 bells, and I let him just because his house can't really have enough cool stuff in it. Speaking of Eugene, he was taking a stroll around the plaza. I hope he's doing okay; it's never fun to deal with breakups. To make matters worse, he had a flea on him, which I picked off him to his gratification. Al pinged me, and I was hoping he would finally ask to move at long last!!! ...No. He wanted a new greeting. Think up one yourself, you uninspired lump! Then he got all sad because I wouldn't help him, saying he thought we were pals. You thought wrong, Al.
After watering all my flowers, I headed up to Main Street to check the shops and get my fossils checked out. I bought some desert-camo pants from the Able Sisters for my catalog, but nothing else really caught my eye. As I headed back to sell my items, Rosie pinged me again, saying she'd thought up a new nickname for me: "dumpling". I hated to shoot down Rosie, seeing as how she's secretly sweet on me, so I agreed. But only Rosie may call me that now...

I headed back to my house to check for any unwatered hybrids, and Walker was walking about. He asked me whether or not baked ziti should be named Animalia's official food. I honestly couldn't tell you, Walker, as I've never had baked ziti before. I've had baked rigatoni before, though, and I'm assuming they're similar? Correct me if I'm wrong, please...all I know is that they're both pastas. Things were going slow this afternoon, so I decided to drop by the Roost to get a hot cup of coffee. Mira was there, and she told me she always drinks "Kiliman", which was what she said we should call it because that's what Brewster calls it. If you say so, Mira.

Since I was at the Roost, I thought: why not work a shift? Brewster was happy to let me have a try at my hopefully-not-too-rusty coffee-making skills, so I dug out my old Word document with all my notes about my villagers' coffee preferences. Yes, I'm a nerd like that. NOTE: If you don't want any spoilers as to Roost orders, don't read the next paragraph!
My first customer was Walker, and all I knew was that he liked mocha. I guessed at 1 milk and 1 sugar, which was wrong. At least I know what not to do next time.
Next was Rosie, and I had her regular in the bag: mocha, 1 milk, 1 sugar. She was so happy, she wanted to do her happy Steven dance. Rather than have my customers flirt with me more, I moved the line along.
Eugene was my third customer. I knew he liked no milk or sugar, but was in the dark as to the coffee beans. I guessed at blend, which was apparently wrong. Sorry, Eugene! I know you were looking forward to your coffee to get your mind off your breakup, and I failed you...please forgive me!
My 4th and final customer turned out to be DJ K.K., who I was happy to see as I hardly ever visit Club LOL. His favorite order, coincidentally, was what I tried for Eugene: blend, with no milk or sugar. He said I "brew some fine voodoo", whatever that means.

OK, I have to address one question I think is on everyone's mind: why the heck is K.K. Slider naked? All the other animals in this game wear clothes! Why doesn't K.K.?!! And why don't all the other animals think it's that big of a deal? Like, put a shirt on or something! You're scaring away potential visitors!!!
Anyhow, after that mind-bending experience, Brewster paid me in superb coffee beans. I think I've already gotten all the rewards from him, so I'm not really that concerned about that. I sold my beans, along with any other random things I'd accrued, before calling it a day. Again, I didn't see Astrid today...I need to make it a point to track her down soon and get to the bottom of why she broke my poor Eugene's heart. Hopefully, things aren't so bad that they can't be patched up between those two!!!
