Animated Avatar Not Working

I bought the Animated Avatar function but when I try to put a 100x100 gif on, weather I download it or from the internet it doesn't work. I just get this message:

If you can't read it, it says You may not upload animated images
I just don't get it, can anyone help

If your avatar is less than the dimensions mentioned above, then it is likely that the file size is too large

It isn't the demensions or the file size. Using animated Avatar 100x100 like the one I am using now, 7.1KB, it says CAN NOT UPLOAD ANIMATED AVATAR. Even with the animated avatar thing purchased
