Anime appropriate for a 10 year old?

omg after reading the 1st page, everyone is acting like she is 5 and has a short attention spam?..... Like you can't be like "watch Yu-gioh" it will keep her entertained for years. Also shes a girl, I honestly dont know any girl who would watch over 9,000 episodes of yu-gioh and still be entertained or dragon ball z. I was always interested in the romance/drama animes. Thats what most girls like

Yaoi time! (I'm not sorry.)

Well, I don't watch a lot of anime, to be honest, but Cardcaptor Sakura is a pretty good one, if your kid likes fantasy, cute creatures, and romance.

Studio Ghibli is wonderful. Any of the movies are great honestly.

As for anime I'd recommend Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Hamtaro, Detective Conan, Animal Crossing Movie, & Digimon. :)

The YGO part was obviously a joke.

Also her being a girl doesn't dictate what she will and won't like. All my friends when I was little were girls and we all watched Pokemon, Sailor Moon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and DBZ together. On the other hand I have never met one little girl who cared about romance stories. We know nothing of this child so don't dictate her likes based on her gender when you haven't met her.

That being said, Little Witch Academia is another cute one I forgot to mention. Hyouka might be safe enough if I remember correctly but you might want to watch it yourself to be sure, and I don't remember if someone mentioned Wolf Children but it's another really good one.

did you not notice I put "most" in Italics? because I knew 1 person would be like "oh there are plenty girls who like watching that" I'm not being gender stereotypical but at that age thats what most girls are interested in because reasons, so if she's not interested in it whatever
but if she is I think Your Lie in April is amazing, not really inappropriate

also I never said anything about Sailor Moon. Thats a great anime she could watch

And Pokemon as well, both boys and girls like them.

But the reason I'm saying this is because I'm pretty sure DBZ is more directed for boys... And its not even 10 friendly. The rating is 14+ and sometimes they say "What the Hell" and "Damn" in the english dub and has blood

i watched another at 11 yrs so-

Fruits basket is a really sweet romance anime. Nothing too bad is in there, and if I recall correctly there's no gore/fanservice. It's about love, friendship, and family ties so it has good morals too.

I really recommend it for a little girl.

I recommend Kaitou Saint Tail. I believe it's rated G, and it's a very child-friendly as far as I remember.

Honestly I feel bad because I was her age once and my mom wouldn't let me watch anime or whatever cause she assumed they were wrong, but at that age I think you can watch things like SAO. I mean if she knows that one part is wrong, then okay no need to make a scene lmao

getting the good anime age-restricted sucks lol

She's my kid. I know she isn't mature enough to handle the deeper stuff. I'm not going to be like one of those parents that decide to bring their 10 year olds to movies like Sausage Party. There are things I don't need her to see just yet because I know how it will effect her.

Aside from that, there are a lot of good ones that I do remember watching. And she's already seen some DBZ since its on Toonami which she's seen sometimes when she stays up a little.

I would recommend Pretty Cure. Its a superhero anime and its targeted to children. Also, anime that are slice of life genre is appropriate too i guess.

I can't stress enough how much it sucks to get age restricted for things you know are wrong and you won't do but get stuck watching "anime" that wouldn't really be considered much an anime

shes 10 stfu most anime is extremely sexualized and at 10 theres no need to expose some kid to innuendo and fanservice

all ur "good" anime is intended for teenage boys with a thirst for ass and a need for a relationship with their cousin lmfao

I wouldn't recommend the anime since it missed out on a lot of major things. I do agree it would be appropriate to watch, I guess. There's some adult references in there iirc and the final episodes can be a little on the scary side for kids. On the other hand, the manga can get very intense not suitable for a 10 year old.

I wish they'd remake the anime tbh
