I'm bored tonight so I figure I'll start watching a new series! Was wondering which series I should look into. Been hearing a few here and there so I'm not quite sure.

The main genre I like is slice-of-life. Dunno why, I just like real-ish scenarios and the like. My other main favorites are adventure and fantasy stuff as well as mystery and drama. I also love COMEDY like if I can't laugh I can't enjoy it!! I hate mecha stuff like I just find that SO BORING so yeah don't recommend any of those. I prefer newer stuff from about 2005 onwards, but if it's something really good I don't mind older.

The most important thing: I only do dubs. If I do subs i just read the whole time and never have time to look up and watch. Hurts my eyes. I also can't do paid sites like Crunchyroll, so if it's one of those animes that you can't find for free I can't do it.

My top three favorites are Durarara!!, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and Psycho-Pass. I've also enjoyed Baccano!, Toradora, Clannad, Kamisama Kiss, Ultimate Otaku Teacher, Princess Jellyfish, and pretty much everything they've shown on Adult Swim's Toonami block (so Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, Kekkaishi, ect.). I've seen a lot more than just these but these come to mind first.

So yeah... start recommending!

Psycho-Pass <333

Try Kissanime.

You can find every anime in existance since it's creation (both sub and dub versions).

ERASED is amazing, short and very good! the music is really nice too :D

- - - Post Merge - - -

I'll look into it!

Started watching Psycho-Pass last night since some people were talking about it and HOT DAMN IS IT GOOD

can agree psycho-pass is rlly good

Kyoukai no Rinne! If you enjoyed Ranma 1/2 or Inuyasha Its by the same person.

I do not like giant robot fighting stuff so leave all that out (except for Eureka 7 bc that was godlike).

No Gundam?!?

Well, I'd recommend Zankyou no Terror as that's one of my personal favorites. Along with some other mystery/drama (I'll c/p from the other thread while excluding ones you mentioned already):

Re:Zero
Darker Than Black
Ergo Proxy
Death Parade
NHK
Monster

Ones you should probably read instead of watch:

Tokyo Ghoul
ERASED
Btooom!

but seems you are mostly looking for slice-of-life/school (which I hardly ever watch...) but I can recommend:

GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka) -- (Hilarious! but not sure if that's your cup of tea)
Chuunibyou
Anohana
Your Lie in April
Sket Dance

Probably other ones but I don't watch a whole lot of school anime. Hope you can find some you like!

I think the perfect anime for you is Your Lie in April! They have it HD and Dubbed on KissAnime and Netflix. I'm watching the series now, the animation is flawless and the story is really good too. You should definitely check it out. I know that you don't like action anime, but I also suggest Fullmetal Alchemist, the plot is really good and leaves you on cliffhangers constantly. I'm watching it right now and I'm in love! Hope you find a good show to watch!

Anime:

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
Shigatsu wa kimi no uso
Barakamon
Special A
Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun
Seitokai Yakuindomo
Gosick
Re: Zero (ongoing)

I feel like you might enjoy Honey and Clover, Nodame Cantabile (both are SOL and set in an art/music school setting) and Kekkai Sensen (more action oriented).

I vote Lucky Star and Azumanga Daioh, both are great dubbed and are slice of life school shows!

Shingeki No Kyojin Aka Attack On Titan
Sword art online and sword art online 2
And finally my all time favorite Blue exorcist

I can recommend a few. But chances are that a few of these are only subbed. But they are good if you ask me.

Assassination Classroom (Only subbed. But the anime is quite good)
Clannad (It's with classic school life. ... Almost)
Cardfight Vanguard (Card game anime which later ends up showing a few duels in school too)
Buddyfight (Another card game anime. But I think you may not like this one at the start)

This is all I can think of now. My apologies if you like none of these.

Shingeki No Kyojin Aka Attack On Titan
Sword art online and sword art online 2
And finally my all time favorite Blue exorcist

I've watched all of these actually. Only watched like the first two episode of AoT since I really didn't find it interesting at all. I'm sure it improved later on down the line but the whole premise was just something I'm not interested in.

It's technically not "anime" because it's made in the US but Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra are amazing shows for pre-teens - young adults. Very entertaining, very good themes and morals, good politics.

Give Shinsekai Yori a try. It still haunts me to this day. It's a novel adaptation.

And for laughs, my personal favourite is Tsuritama. I was surprised at how much it made me laugh.
