Fallen-Reaper-Scythe's Creature:
Okay, long story short I am debating on restarting my island for the 4th time. I like MoonGrove and may keep the name but my issue is i dont know how to decorate it and when i get to it or to try and do something with it, it looks terrible.. plus i want oranges instead of pears for once.. i hate they have to make you get nintendo online to get everything instead of giving it to us or letting us choose.

I honestly cant decide if i should reset my island or not, i can use my amiibos when i get that unlocked, thats not really the problem.

Any sort of tips or advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated, also, if i do restart, what is the best island layout in your opion? Thanks!

So, what id do is just flatten my island when I dont like it. Then its like im starting with a new slate, but its still my same island. Which is a plus because I still have all the recipies, and my fonds left on me. Then I got more room to work with, and for me I usually get ideas. Like mapping out with the terraforming tool. So maybe try flattening your island before restarting it. Sometimes while your doing it, you'll start getting ideas.

For me, when I got back into playing the first thing I thought was *ew* when I was walking around my island. Because it was too. Normal. So i spent like two days flattening it. But it was worth it. My new island is much more me. Also discovered i dont like having an orchard. Took about two days to flatten because of my billion flowers.

After you flatten it and that still doesnt really help then yeah, maybe starting fresh eould be ideal. You could have someone hold your stuff so you dont loose it. Or even hold a villager so you can get them back. Had my friend hold Raymond for me when I restarted. He also remembered me. Which was huge. I can hold your items or even money if you want. Lots of space

Name wise, mine is meant for a horror island, but it has a nice ring to it. As long as you like your name in the long run, go with your gut. Id personally not do a fandom name, because you might end up hating the fandom but still have to work with that name. Unless thats your whole island theme.

Thats my advice

After restarting 50 times (call me crazy) these are the important things to realize before you restart is that all of your hard earned bells, nook miles, items that you have in your catalog, and diys that you learned are gone. My advice is that if you still want to restart you need to have a friend or someone you trust hold on to your bells, nook mile tickets, furniture you still want to keep and ask them if they have any spare diys that you can relearn by the time you get your new island.

Before you ask all of your progress in Happy Home Paradise is gone after restarting which means you'll have to go through all the tutorial just to gain access. As for the Island layout, You have to ask yourself these questions "Do I want my Resident Services to be closer to the airport?" or "Do I want my Resident Services to be far from the airport" It depends on what you're looking for. You may want to keep restarting because if you find layouts where Resident Services is a bit too close to the airport. Trust me as someone who has restarted 50 times on the 2nd switch it can take a while to get the one layout where Resident Services is far from the airport. It just depends on what you feel is right for you.
