I played the trumpet as my very first instrument, wasn't progressing with it though. About a year later, I moved over to the sax. I also took piano lessons for like, a week when I was 5. I still play the saxophone everyday
i have a piano but i only play it once a month. i’d like to play more but it’s kind of hard to teach yourself and i don’t want to spend money on a teacher.
I have an ocarina. I kind of wish that it looked like the one from Ocarina of Time + Majora's Mask, but it's better than nothing. I think the two N64 Zelda games have driven me to want an ocarina, and I begged my parents for one (which I got for Christmas one year). I can play Epona's Song, and a bit of Saria's Song + Song of Storms as well. I don't use it much anymore, but at this rate I will only play ocarina songs from my two favorite Zelda games and nothing else, haha.
I played the recorder in elementary school and I played the violin in my orchestra class. I still play my violin once in a while and I plan on playing some video game music in the future.
I took up piano at about 10 and self-taught, and then I took guitar lessons from 15/16-ish. I usually gravitate toward piano still, but I don't play either nearly enough anymore!
I play the oboe and bassoon, but have been limited in my doing so lately because of health issues and the pandemic. I started the bassoon 15 years ago last November (...wow) and the oboe six years ago. I played the trumpet and a little clarinet before that.
I remember playing on the piano as a kid but the only song I knew how to play was "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and I haven't touched it since. I was thinking about becoming a pianist but that would require so much practice that would hurt my hands.
I've played guitar for about 15 years. I love it. Mostly electric as I just don't get much out of acoustic. Most of my free time is centered around it.
I play enough bass to be able to record full songs without needing to get somebody else, but I wouldn't say I'm a bassist. There's a huge difference between an actual talented bassist and a guitarist playing root notes on a bass.
I know a bit of piano. My theory is lightyears ahead of what my hands can actually accomplish here though.
Played drums in collage for two years when I had access to the collage kit to practice with. Couldn't afford a full kit for the longest time nor did I have the room. Now it feels like it's just too late for me to really pick up another instrument without taking time away from others.
I have a few 'novelty' instruments laying around like an ocarina and some bongos, but I wouldn't realistically add those to the list of things I can play.
I have never played an instrument but I have always been interested in learning one!! I never could decide though.. My grandmother thinks I should try Piano which sounds fun!!! I actually want to ask my parents if when the virus is over I may get lessons
I've been learning piano for three years now, since the start of 2019 and really enjoy it. I hope one day I get better at playing but at the moment I would say I'm still not great. If I learnt another instrument it would probably be the flute or harp, I just think they are both beautiful sounds.
