Any information on version exclusive holidays?

Hey there. First post on the forum. (didn't find anything about this using the search function)

I was wondering whether or not i should buy ACNH on the japanese eShop or not. If there are Events like Setsubun, Obon and my personal favourite Tanabata that are exclusive to the japanese version, like in New Leaf, then I'd definitely buy the japanese version. I haven't found any information about this yet. :/

Or maybe it's linked to what location (Continent) you choose at the start of the game, if so i wouldn't have to buy from the japanese eShop either (i assume the game can be set to english even when bought from the japanese eShop).

There's been zero indication of this so far either way yet. We don't know if they're there or not.

I assume there will be version exclusive stuff, because that encourages trade and visiting each others' islands. But again... we don't know yet.

Yeah, that's what i thought. Thx for the info.

It would just be a shame because i don't want to have to visit someone to have those japanese holidays (IF they actually are in the game of course). I'm designing my whole town around Japan already so it would just irk me if those holidays would be gated off for some stupid reason. >.<

Oh well, at least no confirmation as of yet. I might just go with a japanese version in the end, just to be safe. XD
