Any avid readers here on the forums? If so, what do you most enjoy reading and what is a book you go back to time and time again?

I enjoy non-fiction and can spend hours reading textbooks (total nerd, but it helps with learning things) but some of my favourite fiction books are treasure island, Kensuke's kingdom, harry potter and Darren Shan series, so quirky, dark and weird!

I keep going back to Darren Shan books and treasure island because I just LOVE pirates and pirate stories! I also read a bit of fanfiction on the side.

i love reading so much 🥰
mainly manga and comics but i also enjoy art books, it's super helpful for learning different techniques ☆

my favourite books are wolf children and miki falls: summer, i love all 4 from the miki falls series but the 2nd book is my favourite 💕

Love me a bit of manga! had a bookshelf full and a bookshelf of anime once, but time has taken hold and financially it was unsupportive. I collect videogame stuff too but that has also dwindled down over the years. Would love to get back into it again. Any manga or anime recommendations? :)

I read just about anything, except true crime or horror. If I had to pick an area of fiction I gravitate toward, I'd say historical-fiction and fantasy are my staples. For nonfiction, I love history.

i like some books based on games like the legend of zelda twilight princess and splatoon manga are pretty good 💫

then like i mentioned miki falls is super cute however that one is really unpopular because many people hated it 😅

and i also adored the books: wolf children, a silent voice and your name, all 3 of these are absolutely amazing and everyone needs to read them 💕
although a silent voice is made up of like 7 or 8 books (i forgot) and they're all pretty expensive so i ended up buying 3 books then i just watched the movie lol
that being said, your name, a silent voice and wolf children are all also movies and they're just as good as the manga 💖

I knew I recognised miki falls! By Mark Crilley right? I used to binge watch his youtube videos. Seems like a stellar guy and I have in fact read the first book, which was a joy. The videos are SO useful for anybody wanting to create and draw their own manga, and I took a lot of tips from him growing up.

My favorite book series growing up were the Magyk series, Divergent series, and Hunger Games series (among others). Though my favorite of the three would definitely be the Magyk series by Angie Sage. I have fond memories of reading that when I was younger and getting lost in the story. Would be fun to go back and reread all seven books since I still have them.

I love to read and will read almost any genre, although I do read a lot more fiction than nonfiction. My favorites are probably classic literature, historical fiction, fantasy, and poetry. I don't re-read books because there is always something new that I haven't read yet and want to get to. So I'm constantly on the search for new books.

I never got into manga mainly because of the commitment. I generally prefer one-shot books over series anyway, although most fantasies do seem to come in series, and I've seen how many volumes one manga series can produce. I feel like it's a lot of money to spend and I'd constantly be afraid of missing out.

I love reading so much. Only paper books, though. E-books don't have the same effect. I'm into dystopian, horror, and some romance books. I also like manga and many kinds of graphic novels. I really like books with apocalypses and stuff like that, which is why I like dystopian novels.

I'm an avid reader here! I enjoy reading ya (young adult), historical fiction (and romance), clean and sweet romance, some fantasy and manga. I also enjoy reading language learning books. 📚

I really enjoy reading! I don't read as much as some people do, I tend to finish books pretty slowly. I like having them around though especially when I was working because it was nice to read them on my lunch break! I typically prefer fantasy novels, sometimes sci-fi and I'm okay if the fantasy overlaps with another genre (ie: a murder mystery with fantasy elements) but I tend to stay away from historical fiction, heavy romance novels, and non-fiction. I like character driven books & story driven ones, just as long as they're interesting to read.

I'm also totally fine with reading both physical books and e-books. My biggest issue with e-books is that they cost nearly the same as physical books and that hurts me, lol. I tend to buy them when they're on sale or I get them from my library! I really love my e-reader for when I'm reading books at work since it's a lot easier for me to hold. It's also really nice for night time reading too! I love physical books but man. Trying to read Way of Kings at night while I'm in bed is rough. 😅
