Any word on island building customization?

Later on through ACNL, we had the option of building customization. Our town buildings and important shops could be customized with a unique look to match what we were trying to build aesthetically. Has there been any word on whether this will be available or has anyone seen any customization options for the actual island buildings like residential services?

I'm trying to create a spooky/gothic style island and the default appearance of these buildings is really going to ruin that vibe. It won't match at all and the two styles will clash terribly.

You can mess with the outside of your house when you get the full upgrade, but nothing mind blowing like new leaf or happy home designer. You cannot, as of yet, mess with buildings. Again, another "update" thing perhaps.
