Yes, I do. I feel like it’s necessary if you have the subscription? Otherwise, I’d probably delete it. My phone is pretty minimalistic, in it doesn’t have that many apps, lol.
No its not really required unless you wanna do voice chat online. the app also comes with these special services for ACNH, SSBU, and Splatoon. dont know what the last two are about, but the one for ACNH lets you export custom designs into your game
Used to have it when I was collecting Spla2n items from Salmon Run, but now I have everything and doesn't play a lot I removed it. And I don't care for voice chat anyway, so.
I use it on my computer because than I can type faster in NH and get special abilities on gear I like every once in a while on Splat2. I really hope they make a new one for Splat 3 that is better. I never had it for a long time as I do not have a phone but I finally got it on my computer because of totally legitimate ways.
I mostly use the NSO app to easily chat with players in ACNH. I prefer using the app on the phone to communicate so that it'll be fast to message people whenever I do trades online.
I only use it for Animal Crossing. I like the Nook Points system, Katrina's Words of Wisdom (today's message was "All batteries need recharging. That applies to your devices and you.") and the app-exclusive items (particularly the photos, raccoon wall clock, balloon and sweater). Mostly I use the app for chatting with people in-game because it's so much easier! I don't really use any of the other features, but I think the island newspaper is pretty cute!
I have the NSO app, though I only use it for New Horizons. I've used it for both the Nook Points system and for chatting with other people in the game (because it's a thousand times easier to type on my phone than in-game, lol).
I have it. I talk through there. Not the voice chat, just the text chat. The chatting in game is not user friendly, and the app helps a lot. Much faster to use.
I have it for Nook Points and the improved text chat, but since I haven't been active in ACNH for the past couple months, I haven't really needed the app for anything lately.
I imagine I probably have it, but it's absolutely useless as far as I remember.
Did it let you upload patterns in New Horizon or something? If so, that's the last time I used it, so near 2 years ago (didn't think New Horizons was that old).
I hope New Horizons was the last game they bother trying to implement into the app. It worked well enough for that but I can't even remember what it did with Smash Bros and Splatoon 2. To me it's just another reminder that Nintendo is massively behind the curve with online and, well, other devs stopped trying to implement Smart Phone features into their games years ago...Because it sucked. Again, late to a party that was never raising the roof.
In addition to focusing on improving user experience and boosting user retention, mobile apps can also be successful outside of the top categories. These categories are typically less saturated and offer more scope for a successful launch. However, the mobile app market is highly competitive, and the number of apps on the Apple App Store is growing by the day. If you don't know where to start, check out some of these tips to make your app more successful. This way, your app can become an icon on the App Store.
