I think it’s good, I honestly don’t use any other music streaming services so it’s easier for me that it’s something separate. Definitely needs more tracks but I can’t really complain about that yet lol, they picked some good ones to begin with i think

I just download everything I need off of the internet. I can't really make head nor tail of the app, but one thing I dislike is that the SMG 2 soundtrack isn't on there, and I liked that game's music better than the first one 
. I also wanted to see the Wii Sports music on there but at least that has "plans to be added in future"

Nintendo Music’s current selection feels weird right now. I mean why didn’t they launch with SMW’s soundtrack since it’s one of Mario’s most popular games?

one issue i have with the app is that it crashes a lot.. leaving it on in the background too long will cause it to crash and the music to stop, and sometimes i have to re open the app multiple times because it gets stuck buffering or glitches. other than that, i agree with the music selection not being very good and they definitely could've opened up with more options, but it's a start

Now you mentioned it, the app did oddly crash on me as I was sampling some of the tracks and froze. Didn’t think too much of it at the time and thought maybe it was just a random one time fluke.
The app is pretty cool, nicer than I thought at first when it was announced! Just kind of a bummer that they're gonna make us wait so long to have everything dripped out. I need Wild World hourly tracks NOW.
So, I have been annoyed that Splatoon 3 doesn't have all the songs on the app. Today I opened YouTube to listen to the missing Side Order and Grand Festival music.
A few hours later, I get a confusing notification.
They did not add the missing songs. They actually added Wii Sports. Why didn't I get the Wii Sports notification? Is this a mistake or am I being spied on?

Splatoon 3’s soundtrack on Nintendo Music is based off of the CD release for it that came out last April (before they started adding more music to it). There’s a CD release for the rest of it coming out on the 11th of December, so I think that we’re going to be getting it at some point after that? Probably should have started off with Splatoon 2’s soundtrack and added 3’s later on, tbh.
I got the same notification yesterday but I’d been playing the game. If you’ve been playing the game at some point, maybe it’s just linked to that? Or maybe they just said “hey, look, Splatoon OST on the app”. Idk, really.
...That's releasing on my birthday, apparently. Hahaha.
Anyway, I found out this happened to a friend of mine with New Horizons and it seems more like a weird coincidence.
Nintendo making this exclusive to NSO members with the next console being announced next year is an odd choice unless NSO will be carried over to the next console 
. This feels like something that should've come out around the same time as the switch or even before as an app for anyone. This doesn't make much sense to release now, especially when most Nintendo music is available on Youtube for free.
I'll just stick to Youtube. It also sucks that Nintendo's record of releasing things unfinished with free updates is extending beyond their games.

Speaking of NSO online, why can't they upload all the songs from the games they've already placed in the online subscription service? If it requires a NSO subscription they could do that at the absolute minimum. Instead of drip feeding songs from games they've already been drip feeding.

just let me have earthbound songs. it's already available with the SNES online.
neat idea and i like the music from a lot of games.... but why does this need its own app? would make a lot more sense for nintendo put playlists on the major music streaming apps/websites. but i know they like to control the experience for all of their ip, so sort of get it from their angle

I’m not against the idea of an app that plays music from Nintendo games but as it is right now, I’m not really feeling it. Some of the games selected to be part of the app seems to be random and not very interesting and yet popular games that have great soundtracks are being completely ignored right now. Where’s Super Mario World or Pokémon RBY/GC? Where’s the Wario Land representation? Why isn’t LoZ A Link to the Past a part of the app?
This is a great idea on paper that seems to have been executed poorly. I was looking forward to potentially listening to the Xenoblade Chronicles music, but the app lacks it despite being a popular series. The music selection is slim and honestly isn’t worth the price of a Nintendo Online subscription alone.
